Lovely to see this popular restaurant deservedly busy. Everything was well organised and we were soon seated enjoying our popadoms. Some establishments would find being busy a problem,but not here. Lots of helpful friendly staff,the food was excellent,which is why it is so popular.

On the website it advertises a 5 course meal Wednesday and Sunday - in fact this seems to be Wednesday to Sunday. It costs £11.95 and includes a glass of wine. It consists of popadoms with dips, a starter, a main course with rice or nan and either ice cream or coffee, which is not exactly 5 courses but is loads to eat (I ran out of steam half way through my main course). My main course was delicious (chicken Murgh with sweet chilli) and I had garlic nan which was the best I have ever eaten. My main criticism is that it is quite confusing because the menu is not set up for this deal and some things (lamb chops, fish and prawns) carry a supplement which varies. However, we had the mixed starter which included lamb chops and the supplement was only £1 for both of us. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a car park right next door but unfortunately this is a private car park and seems to carry a charge regardless of the time of day. Over all a delicious meal and great value

The restaurant is lovely , nicely decorated and clean. The service was good but the food was not great.my husband will only eat plain food and ordered scampi and chips. The waiter couldn't understand why he wanted scampi and tried to change his mind and even offered to cook him liver. When his scampi came we knew why ,my husband couldn't even chew some of it . It was tiny pieces and very overcooked and the chips were thin frozen fries. When he complained he was offered other food off the menu and liver again . His excuse for the food was ' we don't get asked for scampi and I don't know how to cook it '. Well please take it off the menu if you can't cook it .

i travel to malaysia annually, and just came back a few months ago and started craving malaysian foodme and my friedns was due a catch up and i decided to typre into google malaysian foodi expected manchester to pop up so was surprised to see two malaysian restaurants pop up on my searchi hose KL cafe based on the reviews, the menu and the picsi highly recommend you BOOK!! it is a tiny cosy restaurant in what looks like a house!!!i changed my booking twice and it was no problem at all (sorry!!)before i came i already knew what i wanted, and as i was familiar with malaysian food my friends told me to go for itwe ordered a good selection between the 3 of ustofu sambal... although i oprefer the ones in malaysia this was still good... me personally i like it when its split in half and roasted as it gives a *sandwich* typre of feelpotato dumpling... wow, the pastry is so good... well done!highlight of starters... i can't decide so its both roti canai and the staay skewers. the chicken was juicy and great charcoal flavour and that peanut sauce!!! amazing!!roti canai... although i have seen the pics online, and the pics looks good... i have been let down with many rotis here in england as it is far too dense.... omg...it was perfect, soft flaky with a chew!!!nasi lemak... loved it!!!as for the curries... we tried redang (recommend) the malaysian one (number 13 or 14?? on the menu) this had a sambal slight type of taste to itand 17 off the menuwe agreed it was all very nice ... i must tell people reading this review the portions size are small...but thisis how it is served in malaysia!!!dessert... brownie definately must tryi felt so happy with the mneu i couldn't stop telling the staff how happy i ami even said they only thing missing is ayam goreng!!!but i undertsand its hardwell done. wishing you all the best for this new restaurantoh PSwe came at 1.30 and lunch took 2 1/2 hours, whilst it was slow, it was a very enjoyable atmosphere...so if your in a rush i dont recommendThank you so much for such a fantastic review! We enjoyed fantastic food here last night. Service was friendly and not too rushed. We had two starters which we shared, pork dumplings and chicken wings. Both were delicious. My main was a spicy noodle stir fry with prawns. The prawns were cooked perfectly. My husband had a stir fry with chicken accompanied with garlic rice. Everything was beautifully presented and the flavours were sublime.We will definitely return and try something else from the menu.

Wow, amazing authentic food, tasty, different to the usual, great service, friendly staff, wonderful setting and decor. We absolutely loved it here and will be back very soon. I had the coconut chicken soup which was huge, filling and satisfying. I could taste every single ingredient it was a pleasure to eat. The slaw side was delightful, refreshing and interesting. My partner got the duck udon noodles and scoffed the lot, making nothing but noises of pleasure along the way! A little gem of a place. Do something different and try Cafe Mandalay before the word gets around and you have to book 3 months on advance!

Visited Yokohama based on Trip Advisor reviews (we live on the other side of Leeds so never pass). The owner (I presume) was very attentive which was nice.The food was good; I had Dolsot Bibimbap but had an accident when adding the hot sauce. The top of the bottle fell off into my food; fortunately I was able to spoon out the extra sauce.Not cheap, but would go back on occasion.
