Galeria Hilario Galguera

Reviewed By romatronasaurus

The Gallery Hilario Galguera is hidden away behind an unassuming facade - the door opens into a bright and airy foyer which houses a subtle selection of sculptures. After ascending a broad staircase and passing beneath a yellow arch the visitor is greeted with the first gleaming exhibition space. Each gallery space is of a different scale and features coloured walls that intelligently interact with the works on display. The final room is of a massive scale and allows for the adventurous curation of a large body of work. We were lucky enough to be given a tour around the gallery (and visited their beautiful rooftop) as well as meeting one of the artists. The exhibitions change regularly and we will be sure to return next time we are in Mexico City.

Pinguino Mexico

Reviewed By rosesandoval

The small place run by Santiago and Renata is a great spot to shop some amazing pieces of Mexican culture with a twist. They are both designers that travel through Mexico and their selection is amazing! It's fun, its clever and its not the same handicrafts you find in markets of regular stores. If you're into local art, crafts, design and not afraid of colors and materials, this is the place for you.
