July 28, 2021 Osvaldo Hartline

Córdoba was once the premier city of the Western World, the greatest metropolis west of Constantinople, and the seat of Europe’s first university. Today, there’s a modern commercial center, but most travelers love strolling the town’s ancient cobblestone streets, peeking through gates for glimpses of lush flowers and beautiful tiled fountains.

I had the most wonderful time going on a tour our tour guide Antonio. As someone who loves to understand more about the cities I visit but in a way that is interactive and fun, Antonio ticked all of the boxes. He knew so much about the history of Cordoba and he shared all of his knowledge in a light-hearted and easy-to-understand way. I really enjoyed every second of our tour and the time flew by so quickly. Thank you Antonio for everything! :)

This is the second time we have booked the Patios of Cordoba Festival Tour, which is operated by Konexion Tours— both times have been absolutely wonderful, especially the most recent time with Juan Carlos for the English group. He is personable, knowledgeable and loves his hometown. The tour was amazing, and we had an incredible experience. We booked the reservation primarily for the patios, but ended up learning so much more about the history of Cordoba, and saw far more patios than we ever could have seen otherwise. I highly recommend getting a tour guide to see the patios, especially if Spanish is not your native language, because trying to find the patios by yourself is very challenging and it can be difficult. The tour guides make the trip more enjoyable and you will get to see several patios, whereas if you try go without one, some of the patios can be difficult to locate or have certain hours that they are closed, etc. The tour guides know the best routes to go to maximize your time and will explain a little bit about the background and history of the patios and the city of Cordoba. We will certainly be back and will certainly use him for more tours of Cordoba in the future.
