Not far from Siracusa and Catania, Brucoli Resort is situated amongst lush flora and tall palm trees that give it a sub tropical feeling. The modern Mediterranean style building is made up of a central body with different wings, of one or two stories. This allows the building to be pleasantly emerged in the surrounding green park which slopes gently down towards the sea.

Reviewed By brayster99I wanted to treat my wife and I by booking a delux room with a sea view. The room has a tiny window and a garden balcony which if you exit and walk a bit you can see the sea in the distance. The room was stuffed with 4 beds and left no actual room for walking or opening the balcony door for example. The village is just a huge tourist trap. No delux. No sea view. After complaining we were offered an upgrade but frankly it was late and I’m sure the “upgrade” would be equally disappointing. It’s a bit like an up market Butlins.

Reviewed By kirstym499We booked this as a family holiday through TUI and some of the photos - especially of the pool area and gym - are incorrect/ misleading. The pool areas are lovely though, but the photos aren't correct (there's no island in the middle of the pool for example). Also - the restaurant photos are taken of the paid restaurant, not the basic buffet restaurant which is where you go if you're all inclusive, as we were. I wouldn't rate it more than a 3. We did think most of the food was lovely though - very fresh and particularly italian - considering the huge amount of guests they had to cater for, it was very well run kitchen and staff were very helpful around the dining areas! You did have to get there close to opening times to get all the good food though, we went late one lunch and there was alot that wasn't available. Most of the staff were lovely and friendly although most can't speak much english so just be aware of that if you're only english speaking. We did try some basic italian greetings etc but not very successfully! One of the staff around the pool was particularly grumpy and quite rude to alot of guests - and couldn't speak any english at all but would come over to us and tell us off (we didn't realise as soon as we finished any drinks that we had to go and throw our plastic cups away straight away - sometimes we hadn't even finished them and he was over telling us off) - he got very stressed if anyone tried to move sunbeds together (bigger families etc) Don't take your gym gear, the gym was truly awful - run down, old equipment and some of it didn't work (the one treadmill they had didn't work!) - also only opens at 10am - pointless if you want a workout before breakfast! Rooms were basic and clean with good airconditioning and cleaned daily.

Reviewed By anthonyc506A three day family holiday that to my experience was one of the relaxed holidays ever. The hospitality was fantastic. Very clean rooms with facilities. We loved the massive grounds and our room had a part of it with sunbeds and armchairs. Well done and keep up your good work.

Dark rooms desperately in need of an update
Reviewed By slocalSituated in the Noto Valley about 20 minutes out of Noto. A spa hotel that is way past its prime. The rooms are dark. Somewhat clean, but after walking around you find your feet are black. Bed have newer foam mattresses that are very comfortable. The internet is very slow and intermittent. On the small end of standard sized rooms. The breakfast offerings limited. Beautiful surroundings. Can not comment on value as we were here on a tour. Excellent restaurant!

Beautiful place, but management could be better

However, the kitchenette wasn´t working and it took us and the staff an entire afternoon to fix it. While the staff was very friendly, the supervisor and manager was rather unfriendly and could not speak english.

Reviewed By garvmarvellous place to stay 2 or 3 nights. Nancy is a wonderful and charming host who comes across as genuine and generous. The atmosphere is cool and artistic .the decor is so tastefully arranged . We had the whole place to ourselves, as the only guests, which added to our appreciation ( especially of the beautiful pool). The icing on the cake is the food - dinners prepared by Nancy or her husband are sumptuous, full of local super-fresh ingredients. Those dinners were highlight Of our 2 weeks in Sicily. lovely !!

Reviewed By Ioannis SI went there for a tennis tournament. The people were very good. Breakfast had only sweets. The food did not cover my expactations. It is a quiet place with plenty of nature. In the darkness it is dangerous to go and come by feet to Solarino because of the cars since there is not enough space for people going by feet.

Reviewed By alewis323We had an amazing holiday. We were the only English there but the staff were polite and helpful and we picked up the language quite quickly. The food was plentiful and the pizza to die for. Always plenty of choice. The beach was well maintained by the lifeguards and staff and the water crystal clear. Mamo from the entertainment team was brilliant and also spoke English. You could tell he loved his job and made extra efforts to get everyone involved. All in all we had a fantastic holiday with no complaints at all and will certainly be returning next year.

Staff - Staff was absolutely amazing, very friendly people, we felt really welcomed by them. I will later mention some needed improvements but it is not connected to the staff, people working there are doing their job well. Cleaning and rooms - Hotel was very clean, we were satisfied. Rooms are very pretty - big closet, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, big balcony. Beach - Most beautiful beach in the area. There was crystal clear water, nice rocks, white sand. Just perfect. The beach was cleaned. There was also very lovely pool area including whirpools. Food - There was not such wide range of food as we are used to have in 4*hotels but I think it is unfair to evaluate this during Covid restrictions. The staff was doing their best and we always find meals that we like. The food was very tasty and the staff of restaurant was very friendly. Drinks are served on the beach, lobby and at the pool. The barmans at the pool area are very nice and friendly people, we really like cocktails that were served there. Service and animation - We really appreciate that hotel offered trips to us and there was a stand where you can rent a car. If we had some problem, the receptionist always tried their best to solve it. Animators were very friendly, there was a lot of sport activities for guests and also night show. In our personal opinion the hotel has great potentional, but there are some improvements needed: - Guests arriving at morning have to get room between 11-14h. Firstly we were told that we will receive our room at 17:00. We had really long trip and you do not want to wait for so long. Receptionist kindly get a room for us at 14:00 but it is worlwide standard, every guest arriving at morning should get a room until 14:00. Hotel pay card - Every customer should receive their card immediately after arrival to be able to get paid drinks and snacks. We got our card next day after arrival, so we could not get a coffee (cash is not accepted at the hotel bar). Sometimes the card does not work, so we had to go to the reception to solve it. If you do not accept cash at the hotel bar, you have to make sure that the cards work as they should. With these little improvements you can be just perfect. We really liked our stay and we can recommend it to other visitors.
