Reviewed By ShelovesmomAside from the structure and the beach, this is FAR from 4 stars. Maybe it had its glory days but it's now a mess. The public spaces are dirty. The food is bad (we ate out 3 times), no covid regulations in place. Long line in the buffet and guests are stuffed in a small space where your table could be missing the next meal. The food trays are mostly empty and you should get up and refill your own water. The table cloths are re-used. Airconditioning not working well, music too loud. Restaurant understaffed The restaurant manager useless, and speaks bad about other guests in public spaces. No playground for kids, only 5 old and rusty swings for the entire hotel. Twice, we had no water to take a shower and sometimes no towels in the room. They charge an extra 50€ per person for the use of facilities. There were only 2 days in a week where there was no wedding and the pool was free. The management and staff knew the guests were unhappy but no guest recovery effort was made. Spend you money and precious vacation time somewhere else. I will not recommend this hotel.

Reviewed By Candida SThis is a very nice family resort with lots to do for small children. The beach is beautiful, water is clean but goes quite deep. Sand is slightly pebbly. The rooms are very basic but with air conditioning. Could do with a bit of modernization. The pools are great and there is something for everyone. Food is fantastic and the dedicated gluten-free area makes it so much more relaxing for those of us who have to eat gluten-free.

Reviewed By sophiewoltzNice comfortable family hotel, in summer mode it is calm and relaxing. The owner was really helpful and friendly even if we could not communicate in Italian. Food was simple but fresh and fine. Pizzas are good. It seems that they were the only restaurant around which was opened so very busy during the weekend and a bit in the evening.

Great for family with kids
Reviewed By 122milanjWe visited at the beginning of July. Occupancy was around 25%, and we often had the swimming pool for our selves. Only Italians in the hotel, which was great. Big thank you to Giovanni and Fabio from the main bar, who were very helpful, friendly to kids and attentive. Great Italian coffee everywhere and anytime. 5 mins walk from the town Le Castella with many shops, restaurants, etc. There is a 2400y old castle right by the beach making the view breathtaking. Definitely recommend. ACCOMODATION 2 story villas with individual apartments are spread across well maintained garden with palm trees. Large room with TV, individual aircon, fridge. All good. FOOD We got all inclusive, incl. free alcohol drinks from noon. Breakfast - only weaker point. Every day the same. It was tasty, especially freshly baked 4 kinds of croissants, but remained the same for whole week. Lunch&Dinner - always changing, and very delicious mostly Italian food. Wide variety of starters, salads, 3 types of pasta (always done perfectly al dente), meat, fish, or seafood dish. Once we even got nice rare done tuna steak. Ice cream for lunch, different local desserts for dinner. Best was Mille-feuilles. I think we have tasted most of the italian dishes :-) POOLS & BEACH 2 big pools, one up to 2,6m deep. Jacuzzi and pool for little kids. All very clean, with life guards. Nice sandy beach, directly in front of the hotel. Free chairs from 6th row. Very clean beach and water. Gradual entrance into the sea. Perfect for kids. ENTERTAINMENT Very large Animation crew of of about 17 people. Very friendly and helpful. Had a lot of energy and a lot of different activities for the kids. They also had activities and games for adults, evening shows with singing and dance shows. Guy with guitar played live after lunch and in the evening by the main bar. All done in Italian, but anyone can follow and was a lot of fun. They even have a big stage/amphitheater with professional sound and lighting equipment for the evening shows. One tip. Since the hotel is clearly oriented towards Italians, not so many people can speak English which didn’t bother us. It would be very helpful to have a manual in English explaining all animations programs, trips, what hotel has to offer and especially that one pool is for relaxation only etc. We figured it out on our own but it would have been nice to know advance like the Italians did on their first night during the information show. I would also add some more people in the morning during breakfast to help out at the coffee corner. We loved our stay. It was really what our family needed. Very relaxing, entertaining, good food and great people. Thank you!!!

So close but so far from excellence!
Reviewed By MTH1962I stayed at the resort in August 2016 (having stayed also in August 2015), I am not going back this year! This resort has the potential to be fantastic, the location is easy to get to, the setting is well thought out, the beach is 30 meters from the main building and the village has a great swimming pool for all ages. Some of the staff were great, polite, helpful and willing, but also embarrassed! Yes, embarrassed, almost everyone who arrived had a complaint to make within minutes (cleaning, things not working etc) but despite promises to put things right nothing got sorted unless you insisted. We booked full board, in two weeks you would expect some variety of food, it seemed like almost the same menu for the whole time, mediocre would be my good rating. Waiting staff very hard working, however the restaurant management very poor, waiting time for deserts for example was endless. The animation was great but as it changes every year it's not a factor you can rely on, the site merits a top agency though, I'm not sure this is the case (Investment is important) . Let's look at the specific of the apartment. We had a sea front apartment, to my surprise we had to ask for the apartment to be cleaned again as we arrived (attention to detail not managed). The room had mold and despite raising the issue the management (not reception) waffled on about rising costs and getting good staff. What this holiday village needs is a new owner, or the current owners to stand up, listen to their clients, and invest in the structure and staff training for excellence. Quality control here is effectively done by the clients, who all moan but put up with things because they are on holiday. I may have gone back this year, but the reviews I'm reading are just like last year..........

Right on the beach which was very clean and is accessible direct from the hotel. The surroundings are lovely in itself, rooms are spacious and immaculate with all you could need for your stay - mini fridge, large wardrobe, towels, AC. Clean bathrooms. Breakfast was good which was included in our room - pastries, kids cereal, juice, tea/coffee. Lovely area to explore, very much looking forward to our next holiday here at Hotel Ranch.

Reviewed By Michael wMy wife and I recently stayed at this resort, and while not horrible, we will not return. The beach was nice, but the food was quite bad. In fact, expect to repeatedly eat leftovers. For instance, the fried items were cold and soggy. Worst food at an Italian resort of all the ones we've been to, especially for the price we paid; at other locations, the food has been spectacularly good. In fact, the pasta was frequently overcooked (and this is coming from an American!), which was confirmed by my native Italian wife.

Room for family of 4 very big and well furnished as well as clean. Staff is competent in all sectors, it is clear that the resort is well managed. Highly recommended also because the price is correct.
