The B & B Stephany, was made renovating the ground floor of a residential property in the area of the historical center of Tirano, near the Porta Milanese 300 meters from the station of the Bernina red train and the railway terminus Italian. The proprietary "Stefania" with her husband, "Gabriel" (owner of another hotel in the area) have realized this B & B to meet the numerous requests for accommodation in the area as a reference point to take the famous Bernina Line. The structure lends itself perfectly as accommodation and starting point for this trip from Tirano to St. Moritz. All rooms have private bathroom with shower, toiletries and heated towel rail. The breakfast (continental) is "Self Service" with BAR area available at any time to drink a coffee or a nightcap in the evening. We offer FREE buying tickets Bernina red train. We have agreements with the Baths of Bormio for a day of complete RELAX

B & B Stephany is great value for money, very nice host. Breakfast was left out for us due to an early start so we could just help ourselves. Good coffee available as we wanted too. Only downside was thin walls so could easily hear neighbours in next room, fortunately they went to bed early.

Perfect location for the Bernina Express
Reviewed By EstherP1882This one year old ten room hotel is just across the street from the Bernina Express Train station. All rooms face the cute red trains sitting on tracks. Luckily, train service ends at 5:30 and there is no activity and very quiet after that. I had room #8 which was pretty standard and nothing special. It is modern in style, well-equipped with electrical outlets and good, stable wi-fi. It might be a good idea to have the receptionist explain the coffee maker and TV (there are two remotes) It is reported you can access CNN and BBC if you know how. All I could ever access were the numerous Italian stations. Bed and bathroom linens are bright white and new. I especially liked the large, fluffy bath towels. Bath robes and bathroom amenities are very nice. The breakfast buffet is very excellent with lots of protein. You can ask the friendly attendant for an espresso or cappucchino. Since we were a group, I had a chance to peek in several rooms. Room #1 (ground floor) might be the best room in the house. It is a large room with a huge bathroom and it can possibly sleep four people. Room #3 (ground floor) has a lovely grassy patio with furniture. Room #7 (upper floor )is a nice size room with a balcony containing two chairs and a table. it is a bit odd, but the hotel has no lobby. It is owned by the same people who own the nearby Bernina Hotel and formalities take place there. This may (and should) change this in the future as it is bit of a liability. You can telephone reception in the main hotel if needed, but it is ackward. Heating and cooling are controlled centrally and you cannot adjust the temperature yourself. if you want to be steps away from the Bernina Express station, then this hotel is an excellent choice.

Tirano rooms is at 25mt from the Italian railway station (Milano - Tirano) and the Bernina Express Station (Tirano - St.Moritz). Comfort, practicality and care for our Guests in a relaxing atmosphere make your stay nice and pleasant. Recommended to whom is traveling to or from St.Moritz and Switzerland by Bernina Express. The B&B has 4 rooms with unique and different features to satisfy the guests' needs. Guest Access Free wi-fi, TV in each room. Some of the rooms have private balcony and wood floor. There is a wide and bright common area with lots of brochures about our valley, suitable for breakfast. A rich and fresh breakfast is served every morning by the owner. Bistrot Merizzi next door (managed by the family) offers you the chance to taste typical home made Italian dishes.

Reviewed By JuutjeMA very nice and good place to stay for a good price. Very comfortable and modern room. Coffee and tea available in the room. Breakfast was good, besides the sweet breakfast (with delicious cakes) it was also possible to order English breakfast.

Reviewed By Jim_KnopffWe were very pleased with our stay in the Relais Merizzi. We booked the holiday flat and a family room. In particular the clenliness and the facilities of the rooms have convinced us. The interior is well done and tasteful. Relais Merizzi is located in the beautiful old town, nevertheless parking is easily possible in the near sourrounding. As there are bakeries, shops and an excellent butcher ( who also offers cheese and regional wine) in the direct neighbourhoud, self-catering is no problem. The train station is about 10 minutes away on foot.

Nice Hotel, better than a Tourist Office!
Reviewed By lauradebernardi2015Even if late in the night, at the moment of our arrival in this small and pretty family-managed Hotel situated in the town center, we received a warm welcome from the owner Roberto, who could easily be employed at the Tourist Office, considering the amount of interesting and useful information and intelligent tips he gave us not only concerning the trip onboard the “Bernina Express”, but also about gastronomic shopping (wine, cheese and “bresaola”) around Tirano. The Hotel is clean; rooms are cosy and recently refurbished, with large and functional bathrooms. You can pleasantly enjoy the sound of the river Adda flowing under the windows and brighting your sleep. Hearty and good breakfast. Great bang for your buck.

Reviewed By 293katrinrThe rooms are in a private house, so everything is very personal. The location is fantastic, you’ll be everywhere in 10-15 minutes on foot. The bed was very comfortable and even though the room was small I had everything I needed and it was extremely quiet and clean. Unfortunately they only spoke little English, but we managed to communicate.

Our room was a bit smaller to those shown on their website and shower was a bit problematic but overall a nice stay in a very convenient area close to everything including iconic Berlina Express train service to St. Moritz. Breakfast was supplied at same owner cafe a couple of doors down on corner of main street and was very satisfying.

Reviewed By Richard EWe had an awesome stay here. Claudio and his son were excellent, very helpful. Picked us up from the train station and even carried our luggage for us. Great facilities, the breakfast was great...especially the Bresaola. Would reccomend this B&B.
