Entirely relying on TripAdvisor for selecting a restaurant, we ended up for dinner in Borshchberry right in the city centre. We were (rather unusual in Russia, I must admit) enthusiastically welcomed and seated on the small Terrace. While enjoying a draft beer and waiting for our starter, we received an 'amuse-bouche' on the house.
Try the excellent borshch as it comes with a particular ceremony!
Enjoyed a well prepared and tasty fish platter with surprising ingredients.
After tea and dessert, I paid the check and we engaged in another pleasant ceremony. I was lucky and went home with a small gift. A very pleasant and tasteful evening. Most recommended.

I am a frequenter to this pub - my customer's office is across the road, so this restaurant used to be the natural choice for business entertainment. Regretfully, they have changed the manager and the Chef since October this year. The new menu is a generic; in the opinion of myself and my customers the quality has gone down from Excellent to Acceptable level. The best part is still the wonderful and expensive decor, so I will probably stop there for a pint of imported beer - but not any more for food.

I really liked the service. Extremely attentive and timely. On several occasions I used eye contact to get attention of my waitress - something not common in many other restaurants. Ambience of the small room is also quite nice.
On the food side, I found several dishes not suitable for calorie-conscious public. My roast beef salad was tasty but literally floating in the dressing - I have not seen so much dressing in a while and was carefully picking what to eat. All non-alcoholic drinks (e.g., lemonade, or cowberry hot drink) are made of syrup and their high sugar level cannot be easily adjusted without taste change of other ingredients.
I really liked their goulash soup and the tasting tasting set of desserts.

Small and cozy restaurant, lovely atmosphere. We were received by the friendly owner, who did his best to make our staying comfortable. Excellent meat, attentive service,very relaxed, a very appreciated rest during a hard business day. A good reason to come back to Krasnodar.

While the service was prompt (while pretty cold, like others noticed), my rib-eye steak was well below the average and a bit burnt with charred taste. I have eaten wonderful steaks in Argentina and Brazil. I have been to expensive Morton's steakhouse in US and know good steak. What I had at Skotina was totally different from my expectation and more in line with what I cook at home.
What's worse, the waitress suggested to have steak with cranberry sauce. I can admit that some might like it, but the suggestion of a sauce was presented as almost the best choice, as if no sauce was not an option. They did not have virgin oil to sprinkle the steak, only corn and sunflower (?) ones.
With the steep price and an additional payment for sauces and/or sides, the place is not worth the visit. It is definitely not the place to try good steak at.

We went to La Vaca without reservation on Saturday; the waiters found a table for us but advised to book a table before coming. The staff is well trained, they smile, ask if everything is fine, when we were leaving the waiter waited while we were dressing to say good bye. Food is expensive and not super special, we had Enchiladas and Argentinean chicken which reminded nuggets, for dessert we had some Argentinean cake which was ok, mandarin tea was very good.

I have eaten here many times and is a favirite place to take guests to the city as the food and entertainment is always good Kossack group singing is alwsys a hut with guests and and never disappoints. Location and Gardens are some of the best in the city and service great. A must see and go restaurant. River tables are great in the summer.
