Great family Tarzan show! Actors and actresses were very committed to their roles and you could tell they were having fun. Opening variety show was a nice treat. Fun intermission goodies are served also! Interesting that they're moving several miles away next year. Not sure if we would make that trek so glad they're in West Yellowstone this summer.

The Ellen Theatre

The Ellen Theatre is dedicated to presenting to the Gallatin Valley the very best in the performing arts, with the goal to entertain, educate and inspire the audience, while celebrating the human experience, providing cultural and social enrichment for all. OPENED IN 1919, when Bozeman boasted a population of nearly 6,000, The Ellen hosted variety shows, silent movies, school plays, town band performances and even an opera featuring a live elephant. Friday night with your favorite sweetheart, the Saturday wild west double feature and the Sunday family concert were staples of life at the historic downtown landmark. Montana TheatreWorks, a local non-profit founded in 1995, reopened Ellen's doors in 2008, with the goal to restore and preserve her history, while providing a future. The Ellen Theatre. The First Best Place for Entertainment!

Old West Dinner Cookout

Reviewed By maryknighton - Decatur, United States

We had a blast with Kayla and Eric! We took our 10 month old and 3 year old, and it was a lot of fun. We did this the last week of the season so I think it was less crowded, as it was easy to talk to staff and the wait was not long (read otherwise from Some negative reviews). The wagon ride out and back is a lot of fun - the guides were enthusiastic and engaging, and gave us fun history lessons about the park. We also had a sort of ‘lead’ for the night and he told some stories to start (a bit long for us since we had small kids) but he also performed at the dinner and it was great! My son was dancing the entire time. Food: there was plenty and my husband said his steak was the best thing he ate in the park (Id say M66 is the best followed by Old Faithful Dining Room). My only real complaint is that I called months in advance for a black bean burger and was given a slip for one at check in but the cooks said the store was sold out that day. I wish they would have a plan b - like just give me a grilled cheese - but they just kept offering me chicken. I filled up on two helpings of sides, so got over it quickly but just be prepared that you may not get your veg option. They also offered me a partial refund for it without me even asking. All in all, really fun and unique way if you’re staying in the park for a few days. My son’s favorite activity.
