Located by the Town Bridge , it has very good acoustic qualities and has a good choir. The Organ is the best Pipe Organ in Weymouth and has a team of excellent Organists. Seating is on traditional wooden pews with a large balcony facing the Altar which is on the South end of the Church. There is a large Crypt below the main church with all facilities available. The Church is visited by many passengers from visiting Cruise vessels berthed in Portland Harbour.

St Mary's is a beautiful Georgian church which has been serving the town since 1817. It displays Thornhill's fine painting of the Last Supper. The church is open during the day time plus you can also get a coffee Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. There is also a Community Arts & Crafts project called the Mustard Seed.
