This is one the most famous temple of West Bengal and even India.People come here to perform hawan and Tantra Sadhana for their achievement.Usually they get result within 3 months.
Being a very revered Shaktipeeth, money plays its part here. The approach lane to the temple is lined with shops run by the priests of the temple who sell all the items needed for puja. Also, apart from the general queue, there is a VIP queue, they charge Rs. 500 each (you must bargain) which gets your to the sanctum sanctorum a lot quicker. Photography of the idol is prohibited but if you request your priest in advance, he will get you few extra minutes to click.
