Great atmosphere, beer and staff... patrons are pretty great too. Had the cozy feel of an old time pub, but isn't dated.

Found out recently from drinking in the Turtles Head what a micro-pub is supposed to be. If you like good cask beer go somewhere else. If you like great cask beer visit here. Great beer, good company, good surroundings.

A really great pub I've known for 40 years. Well kept beers & a great atmosphere. If we have a summer it's good to sit in the garden too. Highly recommended.

QBar-Walsall Wood

Reviewed By 522fayt - The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, United Kingdom

Definatley one of the best clubs around. Qbar is and has been undergoing a major refurbishment, if you’ve not been for a while you’ll be really impressed! Home of Snooker pro Mark Joyce, who plays there daily and they also get some of the other snooker legends such as kyren Wilson and Nigel Bond down there! They have had all of their 12 snooker tables re-conditioned, new score boards and new professional Table lights fitted its made a massive difference to the play quality! They also offer 2 excellent Star tables for the more experienced players (Table 8 is only £5.50 an hour). They also have 2 American Pool and 2 Pool Tables. If you wish to discuss a table booking then call 01543378780. Please note that due to popularity and high demand, the clubs members bookings are given higher priority. To become a member it is £6 a year per adult and £3 a year over 55’s. If you want to try the place out you can sign in as a visitor, the staff there are very helpful and will be happy to help you out! Tables vary in price as they have day rates and evening rates but they are very competitive. Qbar also has two snooker in house snooker coach’s, one of which is the only Midlands based SIGHT-RIGHT coach in the Midlands (Nick Neale) Who worked with the team who trained snooker world champion Mark Williams! I was coached by Stuart who was a semi -pro and it was only £10 an hour plus the table Cost! There is also a very appealing function room for hire, (ideal for parties, christening and corporate events) the standard cost is £75. You are also asked to pay an additional £50 deposit (which will be refunded after the event as long as there is no damage to the room etc). Qbar can host evening parties of 200 up until 2am for an additional cost. I was given a booking sheet with all of the info and terms and conditions on, we were even able to take our own food for no additional cost (but they do ask you to take the rubbish off the premises at the end of the night which is fair enough). Qbar serves a variety hot and cold food daily and are open from 10am-11pm 7 days a week. It has its own car park. Qbar are accessible through Facebook and Instagram! Give them a try!

The Pretty Bricks

A quintessentially English real ale tavern. Warm and welcoming, this Black Country Ales house is a regular haunt of local CAMRA folk.

Reviewed By Clinkyclonk

Visited here for the first time only 3 weeks ago and have been back several times since as the welcome is always warm, ales great, friendly locals and dogs spoiled rotten. The landlord and landlady have done a great job of creating a homely, friendly atmosphere and offer mean cobs when they haven’t sold out! Would highly recommend.
