Ile Sauvage Brewing

We were very pleased to be directed to this rather new brewery by the waitress at Moon Under Water. I loved the space! Limited parking available. And their labels were rather unique. We enjoyed a nice flight of beer. Our server was friendly and nice.

The tour was great as the tour guide was quite friendly and very knowledgeable. You need to book the tour in advance and it was about 15 min. walk from downtown, but I'd say it was totally worth it. We enjoyed all the beers we had at Vancouver Island Brewery and became a little sad to learn that it is not sold at where we live. I highly recommend the tour!

One of the original craft beers in downtown Victoria. Lots of variety on tap, as well as growler fills and off-sales.

Hoyne Brewing Company

Reviewed By rickg410 - Victoria, Canada

A few years back I was fortunate to taste some Hoyne beer, immediately I was hooked and found my new favorite brew! I rave about their products and attend so many of their events solely for their beer, in between frequenting their tasting room to fill my growler with something different each week. So many options and types of beers to choose from where you too will find your new fave and never be disappointed. The thought they put into their brews is amazing as they're not the typical flavour you may expect of the various types they offer. Go to their tasting room you'll be sold immediately .I'm sure any of the Staff saw me they would know this review is from me.

Driftwood Brewing Company

Driftwood Brewery started out with the simple desire to create something authentic; now we get to make a living from it! Craft beer brewed in Victoria, BC.

Reviewed By B679PVstevenc - Chicago, United States

Travelers should know that going to Driftwood is to walk into a small bottle/merch shop with a handful of taps that you can pay to sample. That said, it was so worth it. The beer is great and I'm a pretty avid craft beer drinker. My wife and I were the only ones there on a Thursday afternoon and got to chat with the guy on staff, learn about the brewery, taste the beer and get great recommendations for the remainder of our stay in Victoria. I only wish it was more of a sit-down taproom experience because the beer is worth sitting down and paying more for. Some beers they make weren't available there but were available on taps in town. The brewery is a little bit of a walk from downtown but there are other breweries, coffee shops and ice cream to make it worthwhile for all kinds of foodie travelers.

Good variety for a tasting, great customer service, and fantastic food! Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the entire experience. My compliments to the chef who was working in the kitchen by herself and still served absolutely delicious food. Picked up a couple bottles of barrel aged beer which I lookforward to trying when I get home.

Bad Dog Brewing Company

Our drive from Victoria took about 35 minutes to Bad Dog Brewing. They are always adding new beers as any good craft brewery should. We had a sample flight of four beers costing $8. The Liquid Hippie has mango and hibiscus flower and tastes fantastic. It's wonderful to see three craft breweries in Sooke and Bad Dog is my favourite.
