The Valencian Community, or the Valencian Country, is an autonomous community of Spain. It is the fourth most populous autonomous community after Andalusia, Catalonia and Madrid with more than 4.9 million inhabitants. I was aware that there was a cricket club here for some time so was pleased my short break coincided with a match. They have a good set up here. Clubhouse with a bar serving food and drink all day, and a sizeable patio area to watch the cricket. On the playing side the pitch is non-turf, which it has to be in Spain, outfield nicely cut, sightscreens, electronic scoreboard and nets.if you get bored with the cricket Albir sea front is just a short walk away with plenty of bars and restaurants. Getting here from Benidorm is a doddle. No 10 bus will drop you off just a few yards from the ground. Well worth a visit. Also, the people are very nice too.

An amazing park feature, but not sure what to call it, a vast climbing frame with slides are other things to do on it, like a huge sculpture/fallen statue of Gulliver.
