Things to do in Utah, United States: The Best Sightseeing Tours

July 13, 2021 Florencio Paulino

Welcome to “The Greatest Snow on Earth” – Utah’s paradise for all outdoor enthusiasts! As host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Park City knows how to entertain winter fun seekers. Snowboarders and skiers head for miles of spectacular slopes with deep fluffy powder and breathtaking mountain views. The Olympic Park provides family-friendly ski programs, rides and shows. Alta, Sundance, Snowbird and Brighton are other popular destinations for cross country and Alpine skiers. Those alluring snowy slopes turn to rolling wildflower fields in the summer. Golfing, fishing, horseback riding and water sports replace chilly outdoor sports adventures. Corral the family, pack a picnic and catch one of the ski lifts for an afternoon of hiking or mountain biking along scenic trails. Head to Salt Lake City, where Temple Square hosts millions of visitors a year. Bryce Canyon and Arches National Park are famous for surreal landscapes from horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters to unusual rock formations and hundreds of natural sandstone arches. Closer to home, wander along the quaint main streets of mountain villages to browse, shop and enjoy lunch at an outdoor café. At the end of the day, head home for an outdoor barbecue and an evening of games. Home rentals blend privacy, space and comfort with the cost-saving advantage of eating some meals at home.

The half hour tour was perfect for our little ones ages 4 to 10. They taught us Navajo greetings, talked about equinne culture, local wildlife, native uses of local plants, how the mesa's were formed and were overall extraordinary hosts. We will come back again as soon as we can.

Kristin was awesome to take us on a great off-roading adventure. My wife is a bit less adventurous but Kristin made it all seem so easy that she was at ease but I got to have a blast doing things I would not have attempted if we didn't have a guide. Took the time to explain interesting historical features along the way. Also stopped to watch someone climb Hell's Gate in an altered jeep. Absolutely would recommend adding this your Moab must do list.

EXPERIENCE A DEEP, REMOTE SLOT CANYON. Buckskin Gulch is the longest slot canyon in the world, slicing through the beautiful Navajo sandstone in southern Utah. Enjoy an intimate, private adventure in an incredible slot canyon without the mass of crowds that are encountered at Zions or Antelope Canyon. We'll be dropping into the very middle of this remote canyon, bypassing a long hike at the beginning, and exploring the labyrinth at a leisurely pace all to ourselves. This hike is not for anyone with a strong fear of heights and requires a steep Class 3 scramble into the slot (you'll be using your hands). This is a physically demanding hike of a minimum distance of 4 miles and a max of 10 miles. Recent rain events may require hiking through mud and wading through pools of water. Conditions inside the slot canyon change continuously, so bring an adventurous and positive attitude. Entry into the canyon is allowed only if safe from flash flood danger.

My OCD sometimes paralyzes me when looking for the 'best of the best'. I'm always trying to squeeze the most out of anything. If you are like me then stop looking! We were just in Moab Apr 2021 and this was one of the highlights. It was me/wife/and two boys 18 and 15. What made the experience so awesome was Brendan! He is the owner and operator. You could tell he loves what he does which I value highly. His Jeep is not only specifically rigged to do the trails safely, it is also designed to do it comfortably. After 1-2 hours you will start feeling like you were in a clothes drier and will appreciate how his rig is special. My wife who usually gets motion sick was perfect. He picked us up at our hotel (door-to-door service) which was awesome. He knew ever answer to every question. He engaged everyone in a very natural way. He stopped several times and because it was just 'us' we could do whatever we wanted. It felt like a good friend was taking me on a special tour. No pressure. No awkwardness. If I could rate it 10 stars I would. And if he charged more I would have paid it. Just outstanding to see that there are still people out there that are hard working and passionate about what they do!

Amazing sunset tour of White Pockets with Jeff and an even more amazing day at Coyote Buttes South with Ron the next day. Toured White Pockets with Jeff for sunset-got to hike around the area and was treated to a late arrival of golden hour high clouds for sunset photos. Coyote Buttes South (permit area) was even more amazing. Lots of oohs and aahs at every corner. Guided to many off the beaten path locations by Ron, who is a wealth of information on local flora and fauna. If you're ready for lots of up and down hiking, you are in for special "bucket list" hike and experience.

Booked a Sunset Tour to Hell's Revenge after reading about this one of a kind guy, Mike! This man has a great sense of humor, a gentle soul who loves what he does and really wants to show you a good time. Wow, did he ever succeed! Neither my partner or I had ever experienced such an exciting ride in a real jeep climbing rocks that you would never think a jeep could climb!!! Mike has been doing this sport since he was a kid, so we had every confidence that he knew what he was doing and he follows the rules and is very safe. He is a veteran and it felt extra good to be supporting a veteran operated business! Go for it....book a trip with Mike and you will have a blast, guaranteed! Thanks Mike for a really fun evening!

THIS WAS SO EPIC!! I went on an overnight raft trip guided by THE LEGENDARY Trudy Mickel!! She was so so awesome, very enthusiastic and encouraging (you can tell she’s been doing this for awhile!) The overnight aspect was absolutely incredible, the stars and the sunset were perfection, and the meals were *chefs kiss* delicious. Could not recommend this company more!!!
