After the visit to the grounds of the Berghof you will continue on to the beautiful Bavarian mountain town of Berchtesgaden located in the Kings Lake River valley. On the return drive back to Salzburg you will travel along Kings Lake creek back to your hotel or any other destination in Salzburg.

Carlos was very personable, professional, and his history/knowledge created a day we will remember the rest of our lives. We toured every Sound of Music sight-every step/stop memorable. He surprised us by driving to Berchtesgaden, where we hiked in the snow amazing! Our final Sound of Music point, where “The Hills Were Alive” I twirled-magical! No words necessary for this one... I was for so long trying to visit this Castle and this citythat when I finally got there, I think I even cried ... it was super emotional for me, the only experience in the beautiful town. there is much to do there, apart from the obvious visit to the splendid castle of Neuschwanstein there is also another castle in front the Hohenschwangau Castle, a lake( Alpsee) where you can go cayaking, walk through the splendid forest, many restaurants, museum (Museum der bayerischen Konige), in short there are many things to entertain all the family. I know that I will repeat this adventure again I only stayed one day because I went by bus from Munich and had to return at the end of the afternoon

After taking Curts great city tour, I deceided to take his third reich tour as well. He was really able to communicate the depths of the third reich in a way that I had never expierenced before. The tour was augmented by the use of images and videos of the destruction of the second world war and the Hitler and other majior Nazis standing right where we stood. This tour was really able to give me an understanding of how the holocaust came about, something I had never really been able to wrap my head around. Curt took extra time giving us a custom made tour by leading us to different areas based on our specific interests. In addition, he shared stories from holocaust survivors he personally knows. I can only suggest Curts tour as it not only showed me the sights of this dark time, but also taught me a great deal!.

We did an excellent tour with our guide Paul. We are glad that we did it. He is an excellent knowledgeable guide, very caring and a lovely person. We visited St. Peter's Church, Platzl an der Orlandostrasse, Bayerische Staatsoper, U-Bahn to Odeonsplatz etc with him. He was very nice to us during our entire visit, patience as a guide should be, explaining history of each place along with some fun. If we ever visit Munich again, we shall hire Paul. Highly recommended.

Absolute Best Experience while in Europe! After much research, my family booked this tour with Stefan before we left the United States. You never know quite what to expect doing this, but I am SO GLAD we did! Even before the date of the tour, we received communication from Stefan concerning our itinerary and what to expect. Stefan arrived ahead of time at our hotel in Munich, and greeted us with a huge smile, extremely clean automobile, and fresh, cold water for all! He was so open to creating an experience that would fulfill our wishes. Our goal was to not only see Neuschwanstein, but also the local, surrounding communities, traditions, and food. Stefan really delivered! His personal knowledge of the area was incredible. We were able to see Oberammergau, the location of the beautiful Passion Play, as well as the stunning frescos in the village. Stefan also took us to the majestic Ettal Monastery, as well as Wieskirche, the Pilgrimage Church of Wies, all while viewing the gorgeous Alps in the distance. As if this weren't enough to fulfill our day, we headed to Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle, and the surrounding village. It was all so amazing, that our family will never forget the experience! Stefan shared his beautiful home country, while allowing us to select what we would like to experience the most! I wanted to have a picnic this day, near the castle, as a memory we would have forever. Ultimately, Stefan made it happen! We had a wonderful bottle of wine, glasses for all, and Stefan produced local delicacies that we had never had. It was such an amazing closure to a beautiful adventure in Bavaria. As we headed back to our hotel in Munich, Stefan filled the car with polkas, singing, and great, lasting cheer that has sustained us through these trying times of no travel with COVID. We miss our travels, and we will most definitely return to more tours and adventures with Stefan! Thank you for such wonderful memories!

Amazing landscapes, hidden spots and great conversation learning about local culture and customs -all that on top of gorgeous Hallstatt. Lena was so generous with advice and flexibility. She also helped us book the right place for lunch and provided all advice needed for our own exploration of Hallstatt. Definitely the proper way to visit this iconic town from Salzburg!
