Upper Austria (German: Oberösterreich, pronounced [ˈoːbɐˌʔøːstɐʀaɪ̯ç] ( listen); Austro-Bavarian: Obaöstarreich; Czech: Horní Rakousy) is one of the nine states or Bundesländer of Austria. Its capital is Linz. Upper Austria borders on Germany and the Czech Republic, as well as on the other Austrian states of Lower Austria, Styria, and Salzburg. We walked up the mountain with our 7 month old in the backpack, the path starts out with steep stairs and continues on a steep gradient passing through the woods for the first 2/3 of the walk. Further up there is less cover, towards the top the gradient is less. A very nice but steep walk with the reward of good food and drinks, not forgetting the views at the top! 1100m height-meters, Bring good footwear!

The treetop walk was recommended by a friend. The tour started with the grünberg cable car. On the mountain station there was a very nice restaurant. Lunch was very moody in the old mountain hut because great rain began to come down. Although there was dense fog we enjoyed the treetop walk very much.

A great family oriented ski area. The mountain was massive, high speed lifts all over multiple mountains to ski. Highly recommended. Also a great mid day lounge with excellent food at the top of the mountain.
