August 20, 2021 Phylicia Berquist

Trabzon Province (Turkish: Trabzon ili) is a province of Turkey on the Black Sea coast. Located in a strategically important region, Trabzon is one of the oldest trade port cities in Anatolia. Neighbouring provinces are Giresun to the west, Gümüşhane to the southwest, Bayburt to the southeast and Rize to the east. The provincial capital is Trabzon city, and the traffic code is 61. The major ethnic groups are Turks, but the province is also home to a minority of Muslim Romeika-speakers, though younger speakers are not always fluent in this language.

We enjoyed the trip we did with Hidden Wonders. The vehicle we drove in was a very nice 4x4 and the driver was the friendliest man ever and took the most beautiful photos. Our accommodation was also lovely and we got to visit places we would otherwise never have ended up seeing ourselves including having dinner at the top of a mountain with a local friend of the driver. Our highlight out of many beautiful places we saw was our drive to the top of a really high plateau where we watched the sun set and clouds roll in. Felt like we were on top of the world. I would highly recommend doing a trip with Hidden Wonders.

Short Review: This is an outstanding agency that takes into account every detail to make your trip absolutely perfect. I cannot give this organization a high enough rating that would accurately describe how perfect they made our trip to Turkey. Just about every detail was taken care of from our arrival at the airport to our departure. The entire team is knowledgeable and very attentive to both our needs and desires. Everyone we dealt with spoke perfect English and we're very accommodating in answering our questions and meeting our requests. I highly recommend if you are going to Turkey to use Sunnova Travel. Alican & Susan are far more than excellent tour guides they truly make you feel like family and show you a side of Turkey that you would miss but the larger tour companies. Long Review: IT IS WORTH THE READ! We recently traveled to Turkey with another couple for a quick seven-day vacation. We found Senova Travel through a mutual friend and from the start of our enquiries we could tell that this agency was far and above more organized and dedicated then the others we spoke to. From the outset Alican (Ali Jon) communicated in great detail with us to ensure we had all the appropriate documentation including visas and the documentation necessary to enter the country under their covid policies. Once these documents were in place they took great care to ensure that we never had to worry about the documentation but we arrived filing with all the appropriate organizations hotels and other sites that needed this information. In short we did not have to worry about anything outside of arriving at our predesignated meeting site at the Istanbul airport. Our first three days we're taken up with visiting multiple sites in Istanbul the Tour Company hired a local expert tour guide that guided us through each of the major sites sharing with us both historical fact and cultural insights that allowed us to appreciate more fully that which we were seeing. While each day was full and there were many sites covered in Istanbul they were also very attentive to ensuring that we had adequate time for meals and breaks so as to not become overtired in our journey. The schedule they set was also very flexible allowing us to move specific sites and attractions from day to day. We did make an in country transfer to Cappadocia. Again this was a process that was carefree with Alican taking us right up to the check-in counter and telling us where will we be met at the Cappadocia airport . of course we were met right on time and as promised and brought to our hotel where we were met once again by the Tour Company for our Cappadocian adventure. The Tour Company secured a stay in a cave hotel which I would rate at five stars and pre arranged for a local restaurant to be prepared for our late arrival and still serve us dinner. Once again every detail covered with great care. Once again the Tour Company hired a local guide that guided us through each of the major sites sharing with us both historical fact and cultural insights that allowed us to appreciate more fully that which we were seeing. Whether it was The Cave churches to the underground city we were provided great incites without necessarily becoming overburdened with detail. Since we use this private tour group we also had the opportunity to visit several sites that would be off the beaten path and you would not be able to see with a larger Tour Company. Upon completion of our adventure in Cappadocia the was a process that was carefree with Alican taking us right up to the check-in counter to ensure our smooth transfer back to Istanbul. That ended our Turkey adventure with our group flying back to Houston the next day. however so impressed with this organization and the great detail and care they took to ensure we had a wonderful time we are now looking at booking them again for another visit to Turkey later this year. For those who travel quite a bit I would rate the level of service you get from these folks well in line with a Viking cruise line or a sandals resort with every minute detail planned for you to ensure that your visit is seamless and stress free. I highly recommend using this company if you're looking to go anywhere in Turkey!
