Thika (pronounced [ˈθika]) is an industrial town in Kiambu County, Kenya, lying on the A2 road 42 kilometres (26 mi) north east of Nairobi, near the confluence of the Thika and Chania Rivers. Although Thika town is administratively in Kiambu County, the greater Thika area comprising such residential areas such as Bendor estate, Maporomoko, Thika Greens, Thika Golden Pearl, Bahati Ridge, Thika Sports Club, among others, are within Murang'a County. Thika has a population of 139,853 which is growing rapidly, as is the entire greater Nairobi area. Its elevation is approximately 1,631 metres (5,351 ft).

Kenya attracts plenty of repeat visitors. The main reason for this is the unpredictability of its game reserves (no two days on safari are ever alike) and its immense variety of safari destinations (it would be difficult to do full justice to more than half of them in the course of one vacation).

The verdant riverine forest is the preferred habitat for Leopard and abundant birdlife including 2 local species. In all, there are more than 400 bird species - the Taita Falcon, Palm Nut Vulture, Great Egret and Yellow-billed Oxpecker to name a few, have been recorded here. Kamunyuk the Lioness is a famous resident of Samburu due to her adoption of an orphaned Oryx. Shaba is associated with Joy Adamson (author of Born Free), who spent her last years in the reserve returning a Leopard into the wild. The book Queen of Shaba is about this experience. Shaba has also been the site for a Survivor Africa programme. Umoja near Archer's Post (on the way to the Samburu Reserve), is the site of a ground-breaking Game viewing is the primary activity via game drives and walks, also birding and lodge activities. Cultural interaction with the fascinating Samburu people who are linked to the Maasai is also offered. Sometimes you can go river rafting in Samburu when the waters are high

I have only one day free at Nairobi. I booked a safari with Kenya bush expedition John pick me up on time with a polo shirt and gave me introduction regarding Nairobi national Park where we started our safari and we spotted many animals. Lions Antelopes Hippopotamus Crocodiles Black and White rhinos Buffalos We we're lucky to spot leopards since John had told us that it was lucky to spot them in that park. We really appreciate Kenya Bush and John as the tour guide.
