Me and a friend decided to visit Bicester Village in Oxfordshire for a little guilty pleasure shopping day, we decided that Bicester Village would be the ideal place as it housed some of our favourite brands excluding Louis Vuitton (sad face), and generally it makes a good day out. On this occasion we decided to book via Trip Advisor and take the luxury coach experience over car or train. The coach booking was very easy and convenient to do, once the date was selected the time and location (Victoria Coach stn situated on Buckingham Palace Rd) provided a convenient and hassle free booking arrangement. The coach was nicely designed with the Bicester logo and text so easily recognisable on arrival, the driver was really helpful and friendly when assisting me to direct my friend to the pick up point. The only negative for us, is we didn't realise that the coach would stop off at various hotel locations in central London to fill the coach prior to departure to Bicester Village itself, we personally thought this wasted time and would find driving their a better option on the next visit. The village was as nice, as I remembered it, we found that not all the boutiques took the 10% discount on offer with this coach trip. However the village was offering some great savings, so we decided that wasn't a major problem. We were asked to get back to the coach point for a 5pm departure, before we boarded to head home, this service provided free tea, coffee and water which was a really nice touch to sip something warm whilst enjoying the coach trip home, with our new designer purchases. The only one major disappointment was we decided to dine at Shan Shui, which personally I found the food to be really delicious, however my friend being a vegetarian found chicken within her vegetarian rice dish, which was a major disappointment. The dish was taken and another offered to replace the first dish, but the issue with the chicken being in the dish in the first instance was off putting, therefore a replacement dish was not excepted. Management were very sincere with an apology in regards to the situation, personally I would dine there again, however, vegetarians may want to take the menu into special consideration if choosing this venue as a dining option. My closing advice, visit when you can, as I'll be going back next year (2020) by car!
