Having done 3 days at the centre with school for gcse pe my teen son and friend were keen to come back to improve some of their scores. We booked with Tony who was fab, really knowledgeable, gave great advice and really helped them both. I was really in impressed by the range of different walls/ height, difficulty rating etc. Something there to suit all ages and abilities. My son is already itching to come back. Great experience!

Great place to host your child's birthday party. Ours was delayed due to COVID19 but cannot say enough about the owners of this business in their dealings with me. They have been amazing and very helpful. I will be back to them once it is safe to host a party.

Dragon Miniature Railway

Reviewed By bazonian2015 - Stockport, United Kingdom

I have been going to this railway with my son for most of his 14 years. The railway is independent of the garden centre unlike some others nearby. It has a big oval track, which goes under tunnels.I also has a children's play area which has its own stop which people can get off to play with their children, and can be hired for parties as we have done in the past. It runs every weekend and some weekdays as well. Generally a diesel locomotive or 2 in operation on weekdays and saturdays. And usually a steam engine in operation on sundays. They often have special events. The Christmas decorations are stunning, with a nativity scene, loads of lights. And you can pay extra to get a Santa train to see Santa. Also other special events at other times of the year. They have a shop which sells second hand toys which have been donated. All money goes back into the railway to maintain and develop it. If you are a regular visitor it is worth getting a 10 ride ticket for £8 which saves a little money for regular visitors. It is run by a very committed team of volunteers. A amazing place.

moviESCAPE

moviESCAPE is Stockport's premier movie themed escape rooms. Built and designed by a team of filmmakers, our escape rooms are designed to put you inside the movies.

Reviewed By SeanEvans91 - Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom

Today we visited MoviESCAPE and it's clear to see the venue is run by movie fans who want to bring the magic of the movies into an escape room venue. With theatre style detailed sets the brand new Haunted House II: Demon's Curse maze was intriguing and immersive with a great use of special effects and some thought-provoking puzzles. Whilst it wasn't particularly scary (hence being targeted at ages 12+) the maze provided that immersion into the story and special effects certainly added towards that atmosphere. Almost like a Disney / indie horror crossover at times it was great fun to be inside the room and whilst we didn't escape in the time allotted there was only two of us attempting the room. One puzzle did throw us completely off but the rather cool way of getting a hint and the way in which the hint was delivered was almost pushing me to ask for help on every puzzle as the audio replies gelled with the room so effortlessly. Detailed, immersive and great fun! Would definitely revisit again as the Merlin and Sherlock rooms both look absolutely stunning, i'm a big sucker for theming and other than the more simplistic Meth Lab escape room the other rooms were spot on in detail and immersion.
