Glover's Reef Marine Reserve

Lots of beautiful coral and great visibility with snorkeling at relatively shallow depths. We saw nurse sharks and lots of colorful fish. Kids loved it and we felt safe and confident with the crew and trip. Boat ride on the way out was smooth, but choppy on the way back (maybe the winds shifted)... so take dramamine if you get sea sick. Overall a great morning on the water. Great for taking underwater pics too if you have a waterproof camera.

Our trail ride with Outback Trails was absolutely fantastic!! Beautiful scenery, very well behaved horses, knowledable guide Brady, and ability to trot and canter in open fields that are picturesque. Well worth the trip there and back and would highly recommend!

Looking for a strenuous hike with a reward at the end? Hike to Antelope Falls. The trails offer ropes to help pull you up the steep parts. At the end is a lovely waterfall, with a Tarzan rope swing into a cool pool of spring water. The ride to the place was quite scenic along Hummingbird highway.

Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Preserve

This reserve was established to help protect the endangered jaguar and other species native to Belize.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Cockscomb Basin, with a short hike in to swim at the waterfalls and then a relaxing tube down the lazy river in the jungle. Our guide, Benedicto Choc from the Maya Center Village, was extremely knowledgeable about the area, pointing out various native flora and sharing local Mayan lore. He can also tell you where to spot toucans and would be an excellent guide for birdwatching or hikes in to Victoria Peak. Thank you for a great day!

Laughing Bird Caye National Park

Reviewed By WRG25 - Charlotte, United States

Naia resort arranged snorkeling trip to Laughing Bird Caye for group of guests. the Caye is one of 400+ small islands that populate the offshore area along Belize's barrier reef. Tour guide "Mo" was deeply knowledgeable about the coral breeding and restoration project that she is helping. Island shelters the snorkeling area so we were protected on day when winds were 10-15+ mph. On our two ~1 hour snorkel tours we encountered schools of snapper, several barracuda, a nurse shark, large Caribbean lobster, parrot fish, stingray, etc. Guides cooked BBQ chicken lunch on the open grills that are on the small island. Encountered pod of dolphins on ride back to town - including juveniles. Great experienace that was about 45 min boat ride from the town of Placencia.

Mayan King Water Fall, Belize

LOVED our zipline experience here! The staff (Jonathan and Fernando) were exceptional--profession, kind, and a good dose of humor to calm our nerves. Super safe and incredibly fun. The river rafting after the zipline was a really fun way to see the jungle and experience the river (easy, relaxing tube for all our family).
