Our first time staying at a winery, it's a perfect place to get to from Canberra. This old style homestead is a great couples getaway from the busy tourist spots. The winery host Michelle was lovely and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a nice time wine tasting in the wine shed, it was hot in the shed as it was 38 degrees outside. A good selection of wine made at the winery, with my recommendation being the 2018 Reserved Cabernet Sauvignon. My wife preferred the Pear Cider made at the winery. The winery grounds are beautiful, with huge Pine trees around the Homestead and geese roaming the grounds as guard dogs. Breakfast and lunch are at the Cafe within the grounds, with the best inhouse roasted coffee you would get anywhere. A two night visit would be my recommendation to anyone and the bridal suite is my selection for the room. No TV in the rooms, its a good thing. But there is a common lounge room with TV and tea/coffee . Bowral is only 20 minutes away if you are interested in shopping. We will plan to go back soon with friends and family.

Private function - we had superb weather and food (some cooked on the open wood fired BBQ). Wines in the courtyard of the converted dairy farm overlooking the vegetable plots and farmland of the Southern Highlands. St Maur wines are exceptional. We sampled the Rose, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon all Estate grown.

Had a wonderful day at SHW. Went for wine tasting with husband and daughter. Cassandra was so friendly and helpful. Explained all the wines and gave us a tase of the sparkling. As a consequence we purchased 20 bottles. Then went to their restaurant and had a delicious lunch. Caprese Salad, Scotch fillet beautifully cooked and duck gnocchi. Service by Evo and Wydia and Canadian girl was first class with excellent attention to detail. Very impressive. Beautiful atmosphere and views. Highly recommended.

Named after the Greek Goddess Artemis, the winery represents the elements of Artemis’ character such as creation and the harvest. Today, it is a family run businesses and the 7th generation winemakers have been in the Southern Highlands since 1996 and have an absolutely stunning vineyard not far from Mittagong, and 1.5 hours drive from the Sydney CBD.. Made using locally produced fruit and the region produces a range of complex cool climate wines. They practise a European wine style and approach to ripeness with focus on the individual flavour ripeness and small batch winemaking. Plenty of whites on offer, but they’re not for their reds and have a popular Pinot Noir. We loved the 2016 ‘CLOSE VINE’ PINOT NOIR at $50 a bottle but bought a cheaper option, the 2018 SAIGNEE (ROSE) which was a nice light wine. We recommend you too, head to the stunning property and find the Artemis cellar door and enjoy a tasting of wine wines, ciders, meads and beer. The wine tasting is $5pp (price removed if you purchase a bottle) to decide your favourite. The do host outdoor events and there’s plenty of food, from platters to wood fires pizzas and you can order wines by the glass or bottle. Whilst it might not be the time of the year to be doing this with the social distancing measures in place, out it in your bucket list. Since we’re all at home at the moment, you can get your favourite wines delivered instead! They’re delivering for free when you order 6+ bottles. 20 % off all wines too

Everything about this winery is great - the friendly staff that make the tasting experience so special, the wines that are very good and hard to choose what to buy and the complimentary cheese plate. Going are the days of free wine tasting. A lot of wineries now are charging to taste their wines but not at Tertini. Great wines that you will want to purchase with an exceptional staff.
