The Cholera Monument

Reviewed By Swanlake43

A friend and I used to regularly climb up to the monument from the station. It was lovely to walk through Clay Woods & see/hear the squirrels and birds then rest and talk for a while on the bench directly in front of the monument. A bit windy but so peaceful with the city far below, nice when the sun was setting. As my friend recently died I shall have to do it alone in future but what memories!
