I booked a 1:1 hatha yoga class with Frank today on the beach for myself and my mum who is a hatha yoga teacher. We both found the class to be professional, woth excellent postures and breathing practice. Beautiful setting in between Bournemouth and Boscombe beaches. He was an absolute pleasure to meet and we would highly recommend him to any locals or visitors to Bournemouth who want to experienceyoga in a beautiful setting. In our 2 studios we run yoga classes seven days a week, for all levels of ability, including beginners, children, advanced, women's and pregnancy classes. All the teachers at Yogawest are trained in the Iyengar tradition and are certificated by the IYA (UK). This entitles them to use the Iyengar Certification Mark: an indication of high quality training endorsed by BKS Iyengar in Pune, India.HistoryEstablished in 1990The building that is now Yogawest has been at the heart of Iyengar yoga in Bristol since the early '90s. Originally a British Legion club, the BIYC (the Bristol Iyengar Yoga Centre) was set up by Bob and Kathy Welham. A few years later Gerry Chambers and Lynda Purvis took over and set up Yogawest which they ran for over a decade, developing the building over the years into a 2-studio space, hosting classes and workshops at the highest standard.Diana and Mike Penny started the latest chapter in the story of Yogawest on Friday 2nd September. There were a few days of downtime to re-paint and make some layout changes and the doors opened again on 10th September with a well-attended Open Day complete with Yogawest balloons!We intend to continue to provide the very best Iyengar yoga teaching in Bristol, with classes for all abilities. We have a wonderful team of teachers and a warm welcome waiting for you.Meet the Business Owner: Diana P.Diana trained with Ursula Schoonraad in London and qualified as an Introductory teacher in 2007. She is currently studying towards Junior Intermediate Level 1.After several years in London, Diana and her husband Mike have recently bought Yogawest and are very excited about their new life in Bristol and taking over the reins at this famous yoga centre. As well as teaching some classes, Diana will be front of house at Yogawest and is enjoying meeting all the regulars as well as some new faces in the studios.When not at Yogawest, Diana enjoys camping in Pumpkin the campervan, outdoor swimming and sampling the many delights of Bishopston's restaurants.

I have been attending Julia's classes for a few years now and was a little unsure how the online classes would compare. However, once I got my sound sorted out, I found that the Zoom classes are just as enjoyable and rewarding! I would even like to continue a weekly Zoom class after lock-down is lifted as it is so convenient. I thoroughly recommend Julia as a Yoga teacher. She is always warm and welcoming and very professional. I really value the information she gives as to the purpose of each exercise, which gives real meaning to our efforts. Thank you Julia and Ruby for keeping us sane in these difficult times! :)

Having tried various yoga classes over the years I’d never found one which was perfect for me, until Sally . Her classes are just the right combination of exercise meditation and relaxation and her outlook on life is inspirational. The classes on Zoom since lockdown have been a great way to stay toned, positive and focused. Thank you Sally !

We are based in Torquay, South Devon. A small group of teachers share The Studio, a purpose designed Yoga space near Torquay harbour. The Studio was created for the healing arts of Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda and deep relaxation, an antidote to the stresses of everyday life. As soon as I arrived at Cosmic Teapot and met Cheryl I felt relaxed as she makes you feel so welcome and cared for. Cheryl took the time to get to know me and what I wanted from my session. I felt that she really listened and her summerhouse provides a safe space you feel you can let go of your worries in her safe hands. I had the intuitive massage with reiki and it was beyond amazing! Each part of the massage was always just enough to be relaxing but also feel it working away at my muscles, bringing energy back into me. I’d never tried Reiki before and wasn’t sure what to expect but this also made me feel overcome with peace and rejuvenated. The tranquility of the summerhouse definitely adds to the experience. By the end you won’t ever want to leave! I can’t thank Cheryl enough, my session set me up for a weekend in the Forest of Dean enjoying the natural beauty the area has to offer with a clear mind and quiet, peaceful confidence. :)

Joy Yoga and Wellness

Mindful flow yoga is a calming, stress-relieving class that helps stretch and strengthen the body. Practise in one of Hilton hotel's function rooms overviewing Bournemouth city centre. The emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and the body. Postures are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment and detail.

WOW WOW WOW! My friend was so lucky and won the spa day competition and kindly took me along for my birthday! And what a treat we had! From the moment we arrived at the hotel the main reception greeted us politely and sorted out our parking. We moved on to the spa where we was greeted by a lovely smiley receptionist who gave us robes, slippers, towel and a Locker token! We where blown away by how clean and modern all of the facilities where and the staff couldn't do enough for you! My massage was done by Sophie and it was incredible.. I've had a few massages but this was by far the best!! She took into consideration everything I said and it was so relaxing, I can't wait to book in with her again!! The afternoon tea was gorgeous- again the staff couldn't do enough for us, they where so friendly, the food was DELICIOUS and so nicely presented! I've been blown away by the whole experience they where on par with some really expensive 5* spa hotels I've stayed at and it is for this reason I will be travelling back with my husband and family for another visit!! Thank you so much!
