Crofts Chocolates

Come and try one of our amazing chocolate kebabs wrapped up in a freshly made crepe and various toppings, or sit down and enjoy a coffee while watching our chocolatier work in our fully open planned kitchen. All hot drinks come with a free handmade chocolate!!

Stumbled across this and popped in because I love supporting little local chocolatiers. I bought a few bars as gifts for family and friends. Have started on the raspberry and white chocolate 'shards' as well as the caramel chocolate 'shards', both of which are absolutely stunning. Really good quality and really tasty. I only wish I had bought more!

Ebor Jetworks

Reviewed By pchell147 - Huddersfield, United Kingdom

Have visited here previously and every time I’m in Whitby this is the one shop I’m constantly drawn back to. This summer purchasing a small jet pendant set in silver as my 12yr old son had his heart set on wearing one like I have (which was also purchased from here a couple of years ago) Having gone into the quaint and welcoming workshop I didn’t see a pendant like I had. I spoke to a lovely chap who owned the shop and he said he’d have a look for a suitable piece of jet. Having found this he said he’d make it for him and to return later. Upon returning he’d make a stunning pendant which made my son smile from ear to ear. Sadly last week my son caught the chain and the bail came apart and the pendant lost. Tears ensued and I got in touch with the Ebor via phone. After sending a few emails and measuring the one I had I was told by David he’d make one up especially. True to his word this was done in a couple of days and he went out of his way to pop it in the post that evening so my son would have it as quickly as possible. The next day a lovely black ember lol arrived and the pendant was with us. Thankfully my son is happy again. It’s also good to know they only work with genuine jet. Their pieces are unique and work with you to make custom pieces. The epitome of customer service. As soon as I’m back in Whitby they’ll be no doubt I’ll be visiting again.

A big thank you to Delia for allowing me to run a Monet Magic workshop at The Art Room. Great space, lovely atmosphere and nice and warm. You couldn’t have been more accommodating with cups of tea & coffee thrown in. And a big thank you to Dawn at the Carers Support Service for organising. I hope the carers enjoyed the session - they all did a great job on a deceptively simple picture, ‘Poplars on the Epte, 1891.’ If anyone is a carer and in need of some support I can highly recommend Dawn’s service too. I also have another small workshop running next week at the same venue (2 places left) see poster for details!

Fortune's Kippers

Reviewed By neila87 - Manchester, United Kingdom

I love kippers. I have always considered the smaller Manx kippers to be the pinnacle of salty herring juiciness. However, in terms of absolute flavour these come very, very close. They are strongly smoked but not too salty with a lingering sweetness that might be inherent too the fish or the brining process. Either way they are superb. If you're there while the smoking is being carried out the smell of the oak smoke I'd sublime. If you get to see inside the smoke house you can see the years of tar coating the insides of the kilns. Definitely an experience.
