Things to do in Santiago, Santiago Metropolitan Region: The Best Multi-day Tours

March 21, 2022 Rebbecca Marino

Santiago is one of those metropolitan joys where the more you look, the more you find. Funky cafes and dance clubs dot Bellavista, Forest Park art collections range from pre-Columbian to contemporary, and architecture runs the gamut from the 16th-century San Francisco Church to mirrored office towers. Shop with the locals at Mall Panora¡mico and give your palate meals to remember with hearty Chilean fare.

We had to get a taxi to find the address we wanted but true to the description we were emailed we found a black gate with an entry buzzer to gain entry. Balthazar was our guide for the day and once we were fitted out with some excellent bikes we were off just the 3 of use which was perfect as Balthazar really looked after us. For a very young age he was very knowledgable and his English was excellent. He took us to all the main sights and attractions telling us about things as we stopped to take it all in. I would highly recommend using this tour company

Great day on the trail, with qualified guides. This is our second trip using Andes Vertical and we will use them again, the next time we travel to Mendoza. I would say, I would flag this hike as at least moderate, and no matter your condition level, use trekking poles, as there are area with loose rock. We were well prepared, and enjoyed the hike very much, but it was definitely more steep, than the Base Camp hike we did in 2018.

Five days trekking circuit among amazing geological formations where central and southern Chilean forests converge, passing by  lakes, hot springs and a great diversity of Andean landscapes. Different Andean landscapes present in these latitudes show us their charms hidden. Countless rivers and streams will satiate our thirst at the right times, as well as the opportunity to relax the body thanks to thermal springs that bloom on the banks of the “Quebrada el Volcán” and the “Blanquillo” sector. Venturing to live a unique experience in the Andes range involves an opening way to a direct feeling of admiration of the resources and attractions that expose the same landscapes. The Condor Circuit essentially forms a space for the redefinition by the visitor that become protagonist of the space that recreates, leaving the mountain to reveal its majesty and matchless beauty.
