4. Tuscany Photograph Day Workshop with the local expert

53045 Montepulciano Stazione, Province of Siena, Italy Tuscany Untouched

As a native of this area, my idea for these photography workshops emerged from my familiarity with both the land and the people who make it memorable. Photographing the local landscapes is very fulfilling: this is one of Italy’s most photogenic areas. However, having the chance to photograph the people who live and work here is what makes your experience with me unique. At the same time, you will learn to use your camera in different situations, as taking a photo of a landscape requires different skills than photographing a farmer milking his sheep. The light is different, the framing is different, the subject is different. My experience as a photographer and background as a storyteller and reportage photographer feed into my workshops, and you will go home not only with landscape photography but also with the stories that your images narrate. My best advice? Take one of my workshops at the beginning of your holiday, so that you can practice what you learned in the days that follow.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, All Fees and Taxes, Wine tastings only, 1 day photography workshop

Exclusions: Lunch, Everyone needs to bring their own professional camera

We loved the hot springs and the setting along a river in the woods and found a small pool at a perfect temeperature for a long soak. The wine tasting at a small family vineyard was a pleasant way to round out the day and a nice introduction to the wines of Montalcino. Matteo was and excellent guide and driver - we enjoyed his insights into the countyside and hid frindly and professional manner. Highly recommended.

5. Via Francigena 1 Day Walking Tour - Sant'antimo

Viadelsole

For many people, this is the beginning of a spiritual roads; some souls, looking deep inside themselves, in a natural and peaceful setting, in the silence of the holy places, in the sharing with the other pilgrims. Walking along those trails makes people feel part of a larger family; it creates a sense of belonging; since we are easy and informal, the pilgrimage turns into an experience in sharing and friendship. It is a challenging experience as it requires continuous physical efforts. Walking 15 to 30 km for day for several days, gives people the possibility to test the capabilities and sometimes to go beyond.

Me and three friends did TerraPura's Winetastic tour and it was incredible! Chris and Mirko took us to two distinctly diverse and unique wineries- one of the oldest Wineries run by a woman and her 2 daughters and the other set in a castle atop one of the most breathtaking views I think I have ever seen. Chris and Mirko were welcoming and very knowledgeable about the cities of Montalcino and Montepulciano- they even took us up to the top of Montalcino city hall for yet another breath taking view! Without a doubt one of my favorite days in Italy.
