The Thyssen-Krupp-Aufzugstestturm - a lift test tower - arises from the German countryside outside Rottweil like a huge screw emerging from the earth. The building houses a number of lift shafts that are used to test lift technology and includes a viewing platform which is @ 220m up. Very modest cost to enter and the views are amazing. Unusual external design is to manage winds around the building and gives it s avery unique appearance. Easily accessed off the autobahn south of Stuttgart and well worth a visit.
