If you are in Mackay and you enjoy water sports then Wakehouse is a must visit. Great facilities, staff that are passionate about wakeboarding and great coffee and food from the lakeside cafe. Also the aquapark is a great option to get the kids out on the water.

Cairns Wake park

Reviewed By chichile77 - Brisbane, Australia

Fun way to spend a day in Cairns! Recommending going with a 4-hour pass as the time will fly by! If you are a beginner, you will need to start with a couple of passes on the kneeboard to get a feel of your balance on the water, before moving on to the board where you will need a few more passes before you can complete a full run. Between your ability to stand up, turn & keep up, and the amount of people also enjoying their day at the Wake park (plus a few mechanical problems...) you will find that half a day is what you really need to make the most of it! Recommend. Enjoy!

Castaway Bay

Reviewed By AnnieR437 - Yarra Glen, Australia

We enjoyed our time in Castaway Bay and returned a couple of times. The Battle Boats were a lot of fun - the kids went on the boats and enjoyed spraying other boats with their cannons, and I stayed on the edge and squirted the boats as they went past. We all played and climbed on the Sky Fortress - lots of fun, and a little challenging for those scared of heights. It's a big adventure playground and kids (and adults) could easily spend a lot of time exploring it. We put our names down for the Sky Climb (as only so many people can go on it at a time) and hung around the precinct until it was our time to climb - it was a pleasant wait, watching the Battle Boats and water play, and eating lunch at one of the many tables, climbing on the Sky Fortress when we wanted a bit of activity. There are food and drink venues and toilets there as well. The Sky Climb was fun although definitely more challenging - we all clipped in to harnesses and climbed up to the first level. From there it's possible to go in any direction you like and just do the activity at a level you are comfortable with. Some of the kids went up to the 2nd or 3rd level, some of us stayed down on the first level and walked across the balancing apparatus. It was a lot of fun and felt very safe.

Tops. Crikey!, expect a full range of emotions to play out inside thirty seconds. An eye bulging 4g launch followed by weightless certain death free fall toward the ground from 200ft, only to be saved by the bungy cables. Bit exy on the first go but return visits are well discounted. Buy the video, the contorted faces and screams will pull laughs for years.
