San Giovanni Rotondo is famous for his work in the city of St. Pius (known as Padre Pio) of Pietrelcina, and the city where the venerated monk worked his miracles. Pio was beatified in 2002. In the Capuchin Monastery Padre Pio received the stigmata in 1918, and where all those supernatural events led to his sainthood and canonization took place as well. Visiting this monastery and visiting the chambers where St. Pius conducted his life means jumping into a context of spirituality and mysticism; it is a destination The Church's crypt also hosted, up until a few years ago, the tomb of St. Pio. Next to the Monastery rises the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. This profound mixture of historic, religious and architectonic elements render the Sanctuaries of Father Pious to indubitable point of interest for all, including those who are not particularly devout, or who may not profess any faith at all.

Inclusions: Pick-up and drop off with luxury transportation and private chauffeur, Private English-speaking tour escort at your disposal, Entrance to the Church of St. Pius "Great Church", Visit of the cript which hosts the body of St. Pio, Entrance to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Entrance ticket at St. Pio's Museum

We wished we could see Pope Francis but we could never expected we could see him so closely thanks to Rossana great effort. Rossana and our driver Luigi are both great persons and the visit to the Pope very well organized. They both were professional, supportive, engaging and very helpful. Rossana took really a great effort to make the visit tailored to our needs and she had great sense of humour. Big thanks to R and L. We would highly recommend this tour.

Paola and Donato have “unearthed” a brilliant wine museum dated back to 1572 with lots of hard work and passion. The museum is very interesting and Paola’s tour fun and informative. Then down to the cellar for tasting and yummy local food. We tasted 3 wines which were all superb but varied. We enjoy being able to chat with these 2 very passionate young men who shared their journey with us. They were also interested in our experiences with wine at home and elsewhere. If you are in Altamura don’t miss this enjoyable and very good value for money tour.

While planning our trip to Italy, one of the destinations marked "high priority" & "must not 2 B missed" was the cruise of the marine and sea caves in Viesta. And indeed, the cruise we went on met all our expectations. The weather was wonderful, the skipper was "Masterful" and, most of all, the view of the beach with the white chalk cliffs and all the marine caves and Grottos was "extremely amazing". One of the most striking pieces was the skipper's "Master" control of steering the boat especially as we entered into the Grottos in the rock which were extremely narrow, and the boat could not be turned to get out. The skipper cruised the boat in reverse mode, less than five feet from the cave walls, "Incredible Mastery" of the "Master skipper”. This cruise is a MUST and I think you should not miss it. You will have wonderful memories for life.
