Mark Twig

I have been trained with Ballymaloe Cookery school.  After this, I became a teacher. While doing this I became a brewer and now I am a farmer with a passion for fermented foods and cured meats. I got to love all this more through the pleasure of mindful activities and meditation. With Ireland being such a small place I've made friends all around the country who I want you to meet. And we can add in a bit of fun, banter, and consciousness while we are at it.

Arran Street East

Our studio is located in the busy Markets area in Dublin, Ireland, where we design and produce our hand-thrown pottery homewares. From our studio we run pottery classes for beginners and groups, where one can learn basic throwing and hand-building techniques guided by our expert potters.

I did the 5 day morning workshop with Gayle and I would go back again! Totally recommend as a really immersive start with wheel throwing... because the workshop is over 5 days you have time to throw, dry and turn as many pots as you can (patiently!) make. Gayle is a wonderful teacher, and with 4 in our workshop, she had time for one on one tuition as well as group demos. The space itself is in the top floor of the building, so it's nice to get a feel for the whole production and the cafe downstairs is a lovely place to spend your break. Highly recommend!
