Historically part of Northamptonshire, it is 75 miles (121 km) north of London, on the River Nene which flows into the North Sea 30 miles (48 km) to the north-east. The railway station is an important stop on the East Coast Main Line between London and Edinburgh.

Amps Wine Merchants is a 4th generation independent wine merchant based in Oundle, where the shelves have been bursting with an exciting range of wines from around the world since 1901. We combine a passion for wines of character, style and value with total dedication to the independently minded wine drinker and friendly, knowledgeable service. We've got an overflowing trophy cabinet, having won more awards in recent years than you can wiggle a corkscrew at! We've tasted all of our wines too (yes, it's a hard life!) because we refuse to sell wines that we wouldn't love to drink ourselves, so we'll often say 'if you don't like it, bring it back because we'll drink it!' We hold regular events and tastings (check our website for details), plus visitors are always very welcome to try a selection of wines with us from our tasting machine.

Great shops and cafes. Loads of different shops for different budgets and wishes. Primark, new look, next, hm, m&s, etc etc. Great parking house next to the building. Very good location, in the middle of the town, next to the train station.

This vintage emporium is located in Peterborough city centre at the very end of Bridge Street. For those of you who enjoy feeding the ducks, we are right by the River Nene and embankment. Our shop is only a five-minute walk from Peterborough Cathedral and Queensgate Shopping Centre and only a short distance from both the train station and bus services. We have parking to the rear of the shop too, which is convenient for dropping off donations as well as seeing what vintage curiosities we have in store.

Visiting locally and decided to try the cafe for lunch. Not disappointed! The Gammon and veg was excellent and the Yorkshire pud the size of a small car! The staff were really friendly and very efficient, I heartily recommend a visit here!
