Can’t thank Guy and Les enough for making us feel so welcome we had the best time! The mixed bag shooting was excellent!! Stef was a great entertaining instructor and we all got the hang of the various activities under his watch! I think we’ve all come away with a love of cross bows and rifles! The accommodation was super cute and had everything we needed! The shower/toilet block had plenty of space even with 14 girls trying to get ready for a night out at the Lighthouse Restaurant up the road. The summerhouse kitchen had everything we needed, and the bbq hut (with its ready laid fire) was perfect for the end of the night. We had an absolute blast and I’m trying to think up more reasons to come back and stay again!

What a wonderful afternoon! Myself, sister, mum and neice attended a workshop this afternoon making planters with personality. It was a treat from my sister to us all. Fabulous fun doing something different, especially after the year we have all had so far with covid 19 and lockdown. Really enjoyable and a great experience. Felt very safe with appropraliate measures in place so no need to worry. .All materials and tools were provided. Even a great cup of tea part way through. Great teacher to keep us all on the right track and to help if needed. Would highly recommend for an afternoon of fun for a family group or group of friends. Excellent value and can't wait to see the finished results once they are fired.

Wow! What a most amazing day. This place is a little gem set in the very pretty grounds of Stancliffe Hall. I thought I was a decent cook until I got here! Our tutor and Chef (Masterchef!), Simon was excellent and organised our chaotic family so well. We made afternoon tea including macarons which I was sure would fail as they always do! They turned out absolutely perfect with the masterful guidance of our Chef, as did everything else! The 'school' itself is so well laid out and so clean with all mod cons! Hubs isn't very happy though, since returning home, I want a new kitchen with new appliances. Thank you, Coghlans and special thanks to our tutor Chef Simon for a most enjoyable experience. Can not wait to go again!

We first found this Gallery over 2 years ago when looking for picture framing service, and absolutely loved the paintings. In fact, we came away with 3 very large maps which Carole framed for us, and 2 paintings. We have been back several times since and have bought several more paintings either for our home or as gifts. The Gallery has changed and improved over time and Carole has also branched out into clothes and gifts. Although a compact space, it is definitely a place to browse and immerse yourself, looking for treats. However, it's the paintings of the local Peak District landscapes which we like best - the expansiveness and huge skies over moorlands and crags are so expressive and moving. Well worth a visit and a purchase - sizes and prices vary but all are extremely good value.

Our family loved our pottery workshop. The atmosphere was relaxed. Lee showed us a range of pottery techniques- on and off the wheel. He was generous with the clay, giving everyone opportunities to try out different things. Lee was really encouraging and patient. We’d love to go back for another go.
