Covert Farms Family Estate

Established in 1959, Covert Farms Family Estate Winery is located in Oliver, BC on 650 acres of benchland. Winemaker Gene Covert is a 3rd generation farmer who worked this land with his father and grandfather. Our certified organic estate vineyards are influenced by the majestic McIntyre Bluff and managed with biodynamic practices. We craft our estate wines with minimal intervention, using natural fermentation when possible to focus on vineyard and fruit. Our white wines display purity of fruit and a crisp natural acidity coveted by growers, and low yields result in terroir-focused artisan reds that are luscious and age-worthy. Those who love recreation dually appreciate our location at the gateway to the iconic Okanagan landmark McIntyre Bluff, which makes a great place to picnic, bike ride or hike. Secrest Organics at Covert Farms operates our seasonal fruit & vegetable stand, and visitors can get their hands dirty in the u-pick section - selecting ripe produce under the summer sun.

Really beautiful family winery and farm. The Epicurean grand reserve tasting was fantastic - the host was great at explaining the wines and the background and philosophy of the organic farm. She also gave us time to enjoy the wines and didn't rush us at all. The charcuterie board that came with the tasting was really great, with local foods and fresh items from the farm. The wines were a little more expensive than some wineries, but were really interesting and unique. We were so happy that they also have a kids farm tour and tasting as well - our kids enjoyed this winery so much more than other ones with no kids' activities! It made for a much more enjoyable tasting for the adults to have the kids busy.

River Stone Estate Winery

Our winery is evidence of what one man with vision, determination, and a little luck can accomplish. Proprietor and winemaker, Ted Kane, developed a passion for winemaking at a young age. Many Alberta winters were spent learning and planning how to accomplish his ultimate goal; owning and operating a winery in Canada's premiere wine producing area, Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. 10 years after acquiring it, this perfect piece of raw land has been transformed into a 7 acre vineyard producing several varieties of high quality fruit, a fully functioning winery with a boutique tasting room and, most importantly, our family home. We specialize in the Bordeaux varietals, but also have a selection of white wines and a unique, full bodied Malbec Rose.

Julie was a fantastic host, the best experience we had in the Okanagan. The only winery where we loved all the wines for tasting that day. Joined their wine club and were thrilled to come home to our cases of wine to share with friends and family.

CheckMate was the highlight of our trip to Oliver. Merlots and Chardonnays that have been meticulously cultivated and curated like bottled art. Reanimated by our knowledgeable host, Christian, who guided us amateurs through each masterpiece. This was the only wine club we joined out of a dozen or so visits. Looking forward to a return visit with more friends.

My husband and I were greeted by BettyAnne then we had an amazing wine tasting with Janice, who was knowledgeable and insightful...Eade assisted us with our Club Membership and we will enjoy every bottle. Thank you for restoring our faith in The Golden Mile’s Customer Care after a very disappointing experience at Burrowing Owl. Our entire visit including the restaurant was superb — this winery is a must-do and their wines are excellent quality at reasonable prices!

Stoneboat Pinot House

Stoneboat is a family owned artisan winery in Oliver, BC. For over 35 years the family has farmed on the South Okanagan's Lower Black Sage Bench, where rocky, calcareous subsoils, warm days, and cool nights create perfect conditions for growing premium Pinot varietals of distinct character and complexity. Our approach to winemaking is inspired by our farming philosophy, valuing integrity, balance, and minimal intervention to create critically acclaimed, honest wines that are true to their origins in our vineyards. Our wineshop is open April - September daily from 10-5:30.

A girlfriend & I spent Thanksgiving weekend wine touring in Oliver & made a stop at Stoneboat. We were running slightly behind and regardless they were very accommodating (I know it's so hard in these uncertain times so it didn't go unoticed!). We had a seated tasting on their wonderful little patio & our server was genuinely so fabulous. She could answer every single question & was just a fantastic gal. The wines were as always spectacular and we went home with many bottles of Pinot Noir/Pinotage! This is a must stop for anyone visiting Oliver!

Le Vieux Pin Winery

Named for the solitary majestic old growth pine of their Oliver estate, Le Vieux Pin sits perched amidst the famed vineyards of the Black Sage Bench: Canada's sole pocket desert, located in the South of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Since releasing their first vintage in 2005, Le Vieux Pin has captured the essence of traditional French winemaking, along with the bold New World character distinct to the region. Considered by the national wine industry to be a leading Syrah producer, the winery uses low input viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking to make exclusive vintages that carry with them a sense of time and place. These fine wines can be savoured nationwide and internationally, at select culinary hot spots, and fine wine merchants. The pine tree stands alone. Come visit us, our Tasting Room is open By Appointment Only: Nov 1 - March 15: Mon-Fri 11am-5pm. Mar 16- Jun 30: 7 days 11am-5pm. July 1 -Aug 31: 7 days 10am-6:30pm. Sept 1-Oct31: 7 days 11am-5pm.

Quinta Ferreira Estate Winery

Reviewed By Akuyek - Tallinn, Estonia

Unplanned, we turned into the driveway of this winery in the attempt to get a bottle of wine to give a friend before hitting the main road back to Vancouver. What a PLEASANT surprise: to be welcomed into a cool, elegant wine tasting gallery filled with classical music and art works; then the friendly wagging tails of a little dog followed by a bigger dog who seemingly offering their heads to be pet; the charge was $5 for 9 kinds of wine including a port. The port is excellent. We definitely will recommend Quinta Ferreira to our friends and will plan to visit them again on our next trip to Oliver.
