The wooden shrine building is the oldest in the Oki Islands (1732), and has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. This shrine is dedicated to the deity of safe sea voyages. The hike up to the shrine is very enjoyable. Observe some interesting flora and fauna, and enjoy views out across the sea.
