It was a WONDERFUL experience! I chose the place because they were really fast and friendly to email me back, and the tour didn’t disappoint at all! The guides were really sweet and they made the tour fit my riding level perfectly! I learned a lot, and we switched around the horses, which means I tried 4 horses to get the most out of the tour! I was hesitant to visit the blue lagoon as I heard from other visitors that it is full of tourists (whatever that means because they are and I also am one of them :) ) Unfortunately one of my tours was cancelled and asking some of the guides from other tours, they said I should definitely go. And I agree, going was the right decision, but I want to share some of the details so you know what to expect. It is really beautiful, no doubt but it was quite crowded (even in these times of low tourism) and as I heard this is not considered crowded to them. It did not feel like there was many people in the lagoon, but it was a completely different story in the locker area. That means, you may have to wait to be able to get in a shower before (you need to shower before entering the lagoon) and after. With the option I chose you get access to not very spacious common locker areas, where it may be hard to get dressed and pay attention to your belongings, use the toilet (there is only one in that locker area) in the other end of the room, etc. While they provide shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the showers, there is nowhere to put your own stuff other than the floor, in case you need to use your own personal hygiene products and they only provide one towel when you are out of the lagoon so you cannot dry after the first shower and when getting out of the lagoon. If you look in the right direction, you will have a beautiful volcanic landscape but there is also some buildings around it that I did not expect to see and the general look is a bit like a big swimming pool On the other hand, yes your skin will look amazing after soaking in the lagoon and having a mask on. The staff is kind and helpful and Lava restaurant is super yummy. I had the fish of the day (Atlantic wolffish) and it was probably one of the best white fish I ever had. And always a plus, their recommendation of wine pairing was super accurate. The transportation service was effective and runs regularly, plus it is comfortable with WiFi on board. Overall, I agree "If you go to Iceland, yo go to the Blue Lagoon" Experience it for your self as it is unique.
