Unbelievable. 6 waterfalls in a 2km stretch. All different and an exciting journey to find each. Such a beautiful stretch of the river Swale.

Aysgarth Falls

Reviewed By JandGmum2016 - Scarborough District, United Kingdom

We went after heavy rain and the middle falls were amazing! Park at the Parks centre - it's closer and you have loos and a cafe there as well as leaflets you can buy about the falls - there's a very good nature trail one. Once you're down at the lower falls, you can if you like, safely leave the path and wander along the actual river bank and get away from the crowds - we did this and it was beautiful - we just sat on a rock in the sun watching the water (and giant bubbles) float by. The upper falls are on private land (with an honesty box) but accessed through the far end of the Park Centre carpark. There are lots of picnic tables here in a field next to the falls and it would make a lovely place to stay and have lunch

West Burton Falls

Reviewed By Tuz73 - Banbury, United Kingdom

Also known as Cauldron Falls, this is a hidden Gem in the charming village of West Burton. We walked from nearby Aysgarth (also well worth a visit) through the village to this hidden gem, there was a few families but not overcrowded and the views are stunning, amazing that this is free but there is the option to make a donation which we did. After exploring and being able to get very close (safely) to the waterfall (the water is very refreshing!) we enjoyed a quick pint at The Fox and Hounds in the village. A very enjoyable morning!

Harmby Waterfall

Reviewed By 260helenc - Derby, United Kingdom

Tucked away just off the main road in Harmby and just a few minutes walk from the nearby Caravan and Motorhome Club site, this waterfall is tucked away in a little wood. It can be viewed from the bridge above, or there is a little gate in the fence at the bottom of the ravine allowing access to the base of the fall. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous outdoor tea room. Magical setting in beautiful woodland with a spectacular waterfall. Friendly staff. Food was epic. The best bacon cobs we have ever had. Tasty nachos. Great cake. Just wish now we had tried the fabulous looking scones too. Good size teapots. Fire pit with marshmallows to toast for the children. Lovely play area. Some of the seating was undercover. Our boys (6 and 3) thought it was so awesome we had to return for a second visit during our half term holiday in North Yorkshire. They are still talking about their visit to the falling foss.

Simply stunning. A beautiful old bridge that begs to be photographed and a short walk to the falls. It had been raining so the galls were wonderful to view.
