South West Coast Path Walk - Newquay's Twin Headlands from Newquay Station

A 5 mile walk around Newquay's fascinating shoreline on the South West Coast Path, taking in the long sandy beaches with their Atlantic breakers which make it one of Britain's surf capitals, as well as its rocky headlands with their spectacular views out over Newquay Bay. People have lived here since prehistoric times, and there are some fascinating historical features en route.

I’ve done several small sections of the oath. It’s well signposted, dramatic scenery is on offer everywhere. This is one of the best walks I’ve done. I’ll be back to do more.

Our family lived here for centuries. In the mid 19th century, several migrated to Canada, then US. Built just after William the Conqueror (1066) Our families visited St Eval a few years ago and the Parish had a special service for us and our ancestors What a GREAT experience! What a warm & generous people. A special prayer for us as we held hands over the original baptismal fount (cir. 1100). St. Eval has a VERY special place in our hearts!???? Ed From CA

I've visited Dairyland before and been going off and on for 17 years... and think its one of the best places to go with your family. eldest is now 27 and first visited when he was 9, my youngest is 5 and loves the place!! We went as part of a local community group Little Treasures (treviscoe) to see Santa, we had 10 children of varying ages (12 months to 11 years) and they all loved it... they decorated biscuits.. played in the Bull Pen.. saw animals.. and best of all saw Santa!! He was amazing!! He payed complete attention to each child and made the experience magical for them.. He even floss danced with one of our children.. 10 every happy children and several parents raving about it and organising to come back again next yeart!!

An absolute treasure of a place from the artifacts to the staff. We had always given it a miss in the past when visiting Cornwall as the NT Handbook does not portray much other than dressing up for children and brass rubbing but, as it was only a mile from where we were staying we decided to chance it. It turns out to be an immaculate small Elizabthan Manor House, packed with original features and with very helpful, friendly and knowledable guides - the dress up and brass rubbing is in a completely separate area by the restaurant. The gardens are not large being a Knot Garden design but perfectly in keeping with the property and they have a couple of mazes in the summer months. Well worth a visit.
