The view of the forest from this tower is simply incredible, with trees as far as the eye can see. You can even see Mt Kaputar and the Warrumbungles in the distance too. The drive to get in is on a long dirt road, but it's worth the journey. At this spot there's also toilets and a picnic area to recharge before you continue on.

Spectacular way to spend the end of a day. Make sure to stay about 30 minutes after sunset - the earth is black, the sky turns a magnificent dark blue and there is a beautiful strip of orange glow on the horizon. Wine or beer help too!

Grab a few drinks and some snacks, take a blanket, and arrive about half an hour before sunset to score a spot overlooking Boar's Head and Narrow Neck Plateau. It's really magical to see the cliffs lit up in the fiery red of the sunset. Perfect way to say farewell to the sun.

We are checking the Silo Art Trail on our trip west. Lovely location and nicely landscaped area with plenty of informative boards. Close parking.

Worth the climb to the top for great views of the opera house and across the city and harbour. Ticket included if you do the bridge climb. But be aware its 200 steps to the top!

At 250 metres above street level, Sydney Tower Eye is the highest point in Sydney - perfect for finding your bearings or just taking it all in. It's the perfect place to start your Sydney adventure. With views stretching out as far as the eye can see in all directions, there's no better place to find your bearings. Sydney Tower Eye is a true year-round visitor attraction. Gazing out across the beautiful harbour city you'll be captivated by the views of stunning Sydney in all its glory. Crystal clear skies in winter make for the best viewing distances of the year, while in Spring the explosion of Jacaranda Trees covers the Eastern Suburbs in vibrant splashes of purple. Sydney is at its best in Summer, and guests soak up the city's laid back Summer vibe from the cool air-conditioned deck as the streets swelter below. Autumn brings gorgeous orangery glows and the best sunsets of the year - the perfect time for 'that' picture of the city and harbour in the background.
I come from the home of the tallest building in the world, and I have to say, this tower is definitely high up in my list. Make sure to come at sunset time if possibles. There are amazing views of Sydney, all streets and parks, as well as fun activities for kids.

We really enjoyed our stay in Bourke, the river front area is well presented, there is a large timber deck overlooking the river and the old historic diesel engine is next door
