Lindner Quality Socks

All of our socks are knitted on site on the main street of Crookwell. One of our 12 running sock machines from the 1970's can usually be seen working from Monday to Friday. You can view the machines on Saturday morning but they won't be operating. In the event of a family issue or dealing with a bushfire, then the machines will be turned off. We try to spend time with our small children from Christmas to the end of January, so if you are interested in the running machines call in before or after this time of year. You can get a sneaky view of machines and our sock making techniques for free. If you are a larger group, please phone ahead and we will arrange a time for your group for free. Allow 30 minutes to an hour for a group. Our Factory is small, so groups larger than 30 people will sometimes be split into 2. We can be accessed by wheelchair but we don't have a public toilet. Please note we are closed public holidays.

Really glad to have visited. The facility, history and learning experience was just fantastic. I had no idea about Carobs or their use a chocolate alternative. The products they make are very tasty. It’s great to see a true family business like this still thriving. The family owners and operators are really lovely and didn’t hesitate to tell me various interesting stories. 10/10

You can do a guided tour of the factory out back & there's a lovely cafe to visit as well, once you've done your shopping. Just off the M1 too. Just look for the bright huge Ugg Boots out front.

We loved this place. Walked in to see two really friendly older blokes making mullet brooms by hand. They were really informative as they explained things whilst they worked. Old machines looked amazing. Bought a hand made outdoor broom that we saw being made - how cool is that! So great to see rare skills like this being used. You must visit when you’re in Tumut.
