The city tour was AWFUL. Our guide Diego was unprofessional, our van had 15 people and NO ac or windows he didn’t seem concerned that we were all uncomfortable. Rather he sat up front with the driver listening to music and didn’t interact with the clients. There were very few times during the hour car rides when he would point anything out at all; and when we asked questions he gave minimal responses. His knowledge on the sites appeared limited and he majority of topics circled back to global warming or aliens. He shouldn’t have this job. Period. The entire group was disappointed, at least we were all able to connect through that. He wasn’t physically able to Guide us through some of the physical sites, as a result we were received minimal information about these areas. So incredibly disappointed. We had a great experience with the trekking portion with Fredy Zapata, please see post on that.

Arrived by cruise ship with the Port some distance from the town. Our guide Olenka was their to meet us at the bottom of the gangway. Drive into town to join our speedboat. Thankfully the only one with a cover to keep off the sun. A stop was made to take pictures of the mysterious ‘El Candelabra’. Then cruised around the Ballestas Islands with plenty of time to take photos. Thousands of birds & sealions not too mention a few Humbolt Penguins. Olenka gave a good commentary the whole time. A magical experience. A short time to look around in Paracas before we boarded the coach (11 people in a 26 seater) & spent a couple of hours touring the National Reserve. Again Olenka was very good with her commentary. Recommended trip & good value compared with ship tours.

The tour was perfectly organized. The pick up was right on time and the vehicle was very comfortable. We visited 3 different markets and the tour guide Jonathan was very well informed. His spoken English is on a very good level so on top of a lovely day with delicious food I also learned a lot :) He was also very flexible so I booked directly after the first tour a visit to the Larco Museum. Carlos ensured I got the most out of the Nazca flight by providing a pre-flight presentation on what to expect and what to look for. The flight itself was definately worth every cent. Afterward, I was taken by Juan on a guided tour of the Chauchilla archeological site to see the 2000 year old mummies. Juan was a wealth of knowledge. All in all, a great experience from Get2nazca!

In this journey we will travel through Nazca known for its enigmatic lines drawn in the desert being preserved hundreds of years, saying many hypotheses of its function one of them is that they are a solar calendar or as a payment to the gods by the ancient men who inhabited that part From Peru. Nasca Lines – The Sacred Landscape The lines are known as geoglyphs – drawings on the ground made by removing rocks and earth to create a “negative” image. The rocks which cover the desert have oxidized and weathered to a deep rust color, and when the top 12-15 inches of rock is removed, a light-colored, high contrasting sand is exposed. Because there’s so little rain, wind and erosion, the exposed designs have stayed largely intact for 500 to 2000 years. Scientists believe that the majority of lines were made by the Nasca people who flourished from around A.D. 1 to 700. Certain areas of the pampa look like a well-used chalk board, with lines overlapping other lines, and designs cut through with straight lines of both ancient and more modern origin.

After a 10 day Traveling adventure with a group through another traveling group, my friend and I opted for a private tour of Rainbow Mountain! Unfortunately it snowed on the day we reserved our tour; however it was one of our most enjoyable days due to the kindness of our guide Richard. He was very informative regarding the history and culture of the area and people. We were able to see some beautiful sites on the way to and home. We met some local folks, stopped by a lovely place to eat Los Cabanas and have coffee. The food was awesome!! Richard took some beautiful photos and was patient with us when we wanted to stop to view some sights/alpacas!! The time with Cusco Holiday Peru Servicios Turisticos was one of our most favorite and memorable!! Thanks for such a wonderful time and adventure!!

Just had an amazing morning with Lucas who led this tour just for me! We went to the swamp area as well as the seaside, where we must have seen 30 or 40 species of birds in total, pelicans, flamingos, herons, flycatcher and more. Lucas was very friendly and knowledgable. He had bird ID charts and bird call app but no binoculars. The visit was not far out of Lima and it was lovely too to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

Where do I start? I’m a solo traveler who booked a ticket to Peru 4 days before the flight and I’ve never been to South America and nor can I speak Spanish which made me anxious. Peru Hop was the first company I contacted via email and they have been super helpful!! From all the communication, the arrangements, Peru hop made it so so easy!! It’s not like the hop on hop off buses in Europe, this is a tour full of experiences and I’m always skeptical for paying to travel around but this is well worth it. More importantly the guides were great in particular Ricardo!! This guy made me feel so welcomed, talked to me like we’ve know each other for ages. He answered all my questions, made enquirer for me, and looked after me. Alex have such good insight to the national reserve. I met wonderful people and had the best time of my life. I’m booking Peru Hop again for Cusco to lake titicaca. I don’t usually write reviews but I had to share how good they were.
