Tepozteco

Reviewed By GCKoala - Burleigh Heads, Australia

Wow. I yhought we were reasonably fit, but had to search for my breath on the way up. Stopped a number of times, and wasn't sure I was going to make it. It was all worth the effort, but my legs were sore for days after. Tip: take cash up with you as it costs (55 pesos each the day we were there) to enter the pyramid area at the top of the climb.

Jardines de Mexico

Jardines de Mexico, the largest floral park in the world. Its essence resides in the contemplation of the beauty in each thematic garden, in enjoying of the architecture that coexists in harmony with the natural elements. ¡Let yourself live a naturally magic experience!

Reviewed By Ecuabuckeye - Quito, Ecuador

We visited Jardine de Mexico last week. I was there before it was officially opened with a plant supplier and wanted to return with my wife. The plants have matured and the grounds are very well maintained. It is very interesting to see the different garden types such as Japanese and Italian planted in an area that is practically a desert. Since I work in floriculture, my only negative observation which is personal is that most plants are not labelled. In many ways the location is more of landscape horticulture than a typical botanical garden. It is well worth the visit.

We went to Zoofari as a COVID friendly experience since you can be in the car all the time. This was excellent. We had a lot of fun and seeing all the animals and feeding them is great for kids. Our car unfortunately broke down during our trip and the staff at Zoofari were not only helpful but also went above and beyond for us to be able to still enjoy our experience there. They help us try to jump start the car, they took us to other parts of the zoo so my nephew would not get restless and they were so professional and helpful with the best attitude. A special thanks to Mr. Luis Carrillo who made sure we were ok at all times. Thank you zoofari. We will be back to finish enjoying everything!

Garden Borda Cultural Center

These large 18th-century gardens were once visited by Emperor Maximilian.

Reviewed By georginar719 - Toronto, Canada

But . . . we could not find a guide so did not get as much out of our visit as we might have. Borda was a wealthy silver miner who came out to Mexico from Spain in the 1500s I believe. Amongst other things he built the cathedral in Taxco and these gardens. I believe the site of the gardens and house were also lived in by the Emperor for a couple of years.
