Nationally known for its bass fishing, this beautiful clear water lake with gorgeous vistas is also an ideal setting for swimming, boating and water sports, and rivals some Caribbean islands with its excellent scuba diving.
Beautiful , large lake that has a lot of boats running around - but still is nice. Hiking around, walking near, swimming and more here! Bring the family, picnic and just relax. A great place to watch sunset is the boat ramp near Moonshine Beach!

Decided to attend Festus' Traditional Music Festival held at this park. The park isn't located off any major highways, you need to navigate thru some local neighborhoods but worth the drive. Attendance fee was collected at the entrance and was open parking and there was lots of places to park. Before we grabbed a spot we took our time and walk around the park. It's large with a variety of open areas, picnic tables and has quite a few sports fields and walking paths. No highway noise, very quite and relaxing. I really like the park's elevated, covered, permanent stage for their concerts throughout the year. The park was popular with those not attending the concert too. Glad we found this park!!

Lake Girardeau Conservation Area is such a peaceful place to spend some time. It's a good fishing spot. You can just sit and relax for awhile looking out over the water.

Protected area consisting of 134 miles of the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers in the Ozark Highlands of southeastern Missouri, which offers excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, tubing and fishing.
If you love clean, cool, clear water coming from the ground, you'll love this area. The rivers are amazing, among the best in the country. There are many first magnitude springs, which means of 65 million gallons per day.

Created when the Bagnell Dam was constructed in 1931, this lake covers more than 54,000 acres and has more than 1,150 miles of shoreline.
I have lived in the lake of the Ozarks my whole life and its awesome! You can get condos, houses, and stay at resorts that are right on the water! People write bad reviews because of one place here, they just haven't seen all of the lake. Maybe there are accidents and everything but thats normally live in the lake of the Ozarks or big cities in general. And it might not be the safest to go out on the water but in some areas it is. I would check out Lake of the Ozarks if I were you, you'll have a blast!

Lake Taneycomo is one of those hidden treasures of the Ozarks. Unique in its appeal for Trout fishing and boating, it also boasts a place of refreshing even on hot days of summer as the spring-like waters flow from the dam of Tablerock lake. If you love nature's beauty you will love Lake Taneycomo.

A place to sleep under the stars. A place to fish. A place to hike, to mountain bike, to backpack, to camp. Lake Wappapello has a little something for everyone. Blue waters and abundant fish make the lake ideal for fisherman who want to fish for crappie, catfish and bass. Miles of trails throughout the park offer great scenery and picturesque views.
