Kamakura is a must-visit town for any foreign visitor coming to Japan and it can be easily reached from Tokyo on a 60-mn train journey. Very convenient especially if you are JR Pass holder. We started the journey with our guide, who was waiting for us @the lobby of our hotel and kindly guided us through the bustling morning Japanese metro system. Visiting Kamakura was like going through different emotions and living exceptional experiences depending on the sites visited. The Hase-Dera temple, Kotokuin area, the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu temple and the Kamakura street market (where original flavoured peanuts were sold like those strawberries, mulberries, okonomyaki, wasabi, takoyaki flavours) were amazing venues that have their own spirit and atmosphere and imprint unforgettable memories on the visitors. Our guide helped us to know more about the religious, political and social history of Kamakura. We hope to be back again in the fulture to explore more the seaside and spend one day @Kamakura. Thank you so much to our guide who was very kind and helpful (she guided us through the Toranomon Hills metro station after the end of our tour) and professional. Best wishes to her.

As we where travelling in Fuji area in these Covid times, we stayed at K's house for a couple of night to recharge and restore ourselves after long travels. The place was the best deal, and great facilities, all we could need, and very clean and tidy and diverse, from Kotatsu, to guitar, and from amazing photography books to hammock and the big fully equiped kitchen and the perfect location, What could we have asked more ? Well, the staff was so nice that they noticed it was soon my birthday and when I entered the room they had left a present for me! A golden sake in a beautiful Fuji tissu. I was truly touched by this intention.. Thank you very much for making our stay in Fuji very comfortable and special ???? Soon to come again ????

Four persons, a perfect half day, with Taka. Taka provided us a wealth of options including a great mix of off-the-beaten path locations. Very knowledgable, great English (for a bunch of US Southerners). Fuji did not disappoint, with fresh snowfall. Taka eagerly provided us with follow-on suggestions for the rest of our time in the area. Absolutely, definitely worth it.

My 2 friends and I went on the beginners Spring Tour 2019 for our first trip to Japan. We loved it and can't wait to go back! Becky and Shawn are awesome. They were so down to earth, helpful and very knowledgeable. I also really liked that the tour group is small. It allows you to get to know your fellow group members and ensures personal attention from your guides. We saw so many large tour groups at tour sites and they looked a little chaotic, it made me happy we chose a small group. The accommodations were always clean and comfortable and located perfectly. Food was amazing!!! If you are willing to try new things you can have an amazing gourmet experience. The events and locations that Becky and Shawn chose were top notch and we got to experience all different modes of transportation while there.

Discover the deep, vast world of Mt. Fuji, including the Aokigahara Sea of Trees located at its northern base on this trekking tour! The Aokigahara Sea of Trees is a primeval forest that has formed on top of lava flows from Mt. Fuji. It has many mysterious lava caves, and is known for many legends. Some even say that compasses malfunction and one can be easily lost inside the forest; it could be due to volcanic activities - nobody really knows. We will follow the Tokai Nature Trail and visit two lava caves: Wind Cave and Ice Cave. Wind Cave is the largest of the lava tubes in the forest. The walls are mostly made of basalt, and there is enough circulation of air inside. See lava terraces, rope-like lava forms, and more. Ice Cave, on the other hand, is covered year-round by ice. Walk carefully over the wet and uneven surfaces as you marvel at the ice formations deep in the cave. If you want to experience the otherworldly beauty of Aokigahara, book this tour!

Inclusions: Admissions for Wind Cave and Ice Cave, 2 day pass for local bus in Lake Kawaguchi/Saiko/Shoji/Motosu area

The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.
