I had an excellent time on a Thursday night at Zinco. I had made a reservation, which put me into a slightly shorter and faster line to get in. This is like a Hollywood movie set of a jazz club, but that is just great. Literally subterranean and dark. The band that night played old black U.S. blues like BB King, Ray Charles, they sang in English and quite well. Actually the band knocked me out. Food: I went there partly because I knew they served rib. With a bottle of red wine they were really good. Finally, half-crocked, I walked the three blocks back to my hotel at about midnight. If there were any danger I'm sure I would have run into, since I look like an easy target at 68 years old with a walking stick!! Perfectly safe, cops everywhere (2 per block), a lively night out. I'M LYING ABOUT THE DATE ON THIS REVIEW. THE TRIP WAS IN FEB. 2019 BUT I COULDN'T GO THIS YEAR, SO I AM FONDLY REMEMBERING. FORGIVE ME.

We enjoyed the show in this place because it was the closest to the Mexican reality, we did not find the prices to be very bad and the customer service was great, the performers were very good and even the singer had a great voice I recommend it to be visited specially on the weekends because it gets more lively, it is at the end of the plaza and cheaper than tenanpa but now a days there are some others around the plaza with same options like this one- cover 50 pesos, top not an obligation.
