June 10, 2021 Ying Subia

Maryland is known as “America in Miniature” because of its great variations in topography and culture. This makes it a perfect east coat travel destination for those who would like to experience a little bit of everything. From amusement parks, to beaches, to mountains and historical sites, there is plenty to see and do. Each region of Maryland provides its own unique and fun activities to do. If you're headed for some fun in the sun in Ocean City on its eastern coast, be sure not to miss the Ocean City Beach, the Boardwalk, or Trimper's Rides and Amusement Park for an all-ages fun experience. Central Maryland is home to a Six Flags theme park, the Annapolis Golf Club, and countless hubs of art and culture such as the African Art Museum and Annapolis Opera, Inc. Heading to western Maryland? It is perfect for lovers of nature and the outdoors, with the Washington Monument State Park, Wisp Resort ski slopes, and the spectacular Muddy Creek Falls.

This is an awesome sight to see. Love the way they’ve redone the building and put a Barnes and Noble bookstore in it. Hard Rock is there too.

High rollers and shopaholics will love this locale with Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Saks and well as Nordstrom Rack and Marshall’s all within a few blocks. Generally, if you can’t find it here, you don’t need it! Wish all the stores were under one roof so that you could avoid the elements on hot summer or cold winter days, but there’s lots of great coffee shops and bistros for a hot or cold beverage while you navigate the landscape. Metro is steps away or lots of free, validated parking by one of the stores also to make this venue attractive.

We went to check out this mall since it was not too far away from our hotel, a chance to walk around a safe area and get some exercise and it is right by the casino where we wanted to go for dinner. There is plenty of parking. You can park almost anywhere around the mall. We chose park at the Bass Pro shop and walked in that way. This is the largest mall in Maryland. It is very big but not the biggest mall I have been in. We loved walking around the mall just hanging out relaxing. We went into a few stores. I used one of the massage chairs that you just use cash or a credit card for and it worked great but was too rough for me – I cannot handle a long deep tissue massage. The mall is clean overall. The bathrooms were clean. They have all your normal store types in here: women’s, men’s, clothing, shoes, services, kids, entertainment, sports/hobbies, and food. Also, they have a Cinemark that has 24 screens. This mall has a big dining food court area that has a big open area with tables and chairs. There are several food places in this dining area to eat that covers Italian, American, Asian, etc. There are couches throughout the mall and some of them have charging stations built in. There are other charging stations throughout the mall for free. There are other random things throughout the mall such as a mini melts ice cream vending machine, massage station in the middle of the aisle where you can have a trained masseuse massage you, cell phone repair station, currency exchange, car carousel for kids, a virtual experience and one of the options is you can ride a roller coaster, dipping dots, dot popcorn, a proactive vending machine, Live! Casino recruitment center, etc. Most evenings the mall closes at 9:30pm. Just check the times to be sure. We would definitely go back to this mall again if we are in the area. We would try out a restaurant and go into more stores that we don’t have back home to have some new experiences.

Great food court and anchor restaurants, variety of stores at all price points, nice movie theatre/bar experience, and plenty of parking. Unofficial walkers group meets here during cold months, too!
