Maryland is known as “America in Miniature” because of its great variations in topography and culture. This makes it a perfect east coat travel destination for those who would like to experience a little bit of everything. From amusement parks, to beaches, to mountains and historical sites, there is plenty to see and do. Each region of Maryland provides its own unique and fun activities to do. If you're headed for some fun in the sun in Ocean City on its eastern coast, be sure not to miss the Ocean City Beach, the Boardwalk, or Trimper's Rides and Amusement Park for an all-ages fun experience. Central Maryland is home to a Six Flags theme park, the Annapolis Golf Club, and countless hubs of art and culture such as the African Art Museum and Annapolis Opera, Inc. Heading to western Maryland? It is perfect for lovers of nature and the outdoors, with the Washington Monument State Park, Wisp Resort ski slopes, and the spectacular Muddy Creek Falls.

Ms Caitlin's School of Blacksmithing

Smithing isn't easy. You're working with incredibly hot metal, swinging a hammer, getting your hands dirty. Depending on the time of year, it's a bit too hot, or a bit too cold. But along the way, you start to learn really practical things about thermodynamics, geometry, physics, math, metallurgy, history. The formulas start making sense. You start to understand how the metal moves. And then, unexpectedly, you fall in love. The piece you've been working on transforms. There are notes of grace in the shape that you want to explore further. Blacksmithing is the perfect intersection of sport, science, and art. It's easy to fall in love. It's the most fun we've ever had! Come play!

I had an absolute great time at Ms Caitlin's School of Blacksmithing. Ms. Caitlin is an excellent instructor and she makes her session fun, safe, and empowering. She is very positive and patient. You leave with an appreciation for her craft, a new skill, and a tangible result you cold be proud of.
