Great place. Owner is friendly and offers plenty of advice on the various choices. Some nice rums. Also has wine and other local drinks, including the genuine fisherman's poncha, freshly made. Mid week December, and not overcrowded so plenty of space to sit. Great owner who makes you feel welcome and having spent some time here presented a fantastic photo since he used to be photographer. Genuine nice bloke. Will definitely visit again. Thanks again.

In the late 1800s many Madeirans set sail for Hawaii to work in the growing sugar cane industry. Great little tiki bar that gets all the details right: the right music, the right drinks, the right atmosphere. No surprise as the staff is clearly passionate about everything tiki. There's even a direct history link (Madeira and Hawaii) that you can read up on while lounging on the roof terrace and sipping cocktails made with some of the best rums in the world. Definitely a winner.

We’ve just returned home from our second visit to Funchal and the Revolucion Rock Bar! This place is amazing ! The location is fantastic right in the heart of the old town , the homemade poncha is the best on the island I’ve tasted and made with a lot of love ! But the cocktails are something else - I’ve never had a cocktail made with so much love and the thought and hard work that goes into them cannot be replicated - if you like cocktails you must have the custom and tell Thelma what alcohol and fruits you like and you will be presented with a piece of art that looks too good to drink ( but tastes much better ) . The service in this bar is second to none and Thelma and Miguel make you feel like you are with old friends and we will definitely be back to see them soon I hope !
