Mort-Homme

Reviewed By frenchie_reenacts - Hauts-de-France, France

The memorial to the French regiments who fought at Mort Homme is eerie, beautiful and haunting in one go. A must see for those exploring the battlefields surrounding Verdun.

Monument Americain Pennsylvanie

Reviewed By robertmbbb - Bedford, United States

This is a memorial paid for by the people of Pennsylvania to the men that participated in the Meuse Argonne battle that ended WWI. It is impressive in a little town that was all but destroyed in the war.

Butte de Montsec

Reviewed By beaner1138 - Middleton, United States

I visited the butte and monument on a cold, windy February morning, and enjoyed the opportunity to enjoy the moment without interruption by other visitors. The structure is magnificent, and the vistas are unmatched. Once could almost make out the Moselle River in the distance, looking east. For those interested in studying the Great War, this butte, held and defended by the Germans, fully demonstrates the value of holding the high ground.

Giant impressive monument in the city centre you can't miss. It is nicely decorated by flowers and from the top you can have a nice view to the city and river.
