You can walk around the place even if the musem is closed. It takes at least 30 min to see everything just from the outside - and it’s nice to go after hours - less crowded and you get to see it anyway. The area is large, clean and cared for. From the top of the fort (it looks like a little hill) there is a nice view over the city, though it’s a very sad place, knowing that tens of thousands souls ceased the exist here, and the remains lay under your feet. P.S. Dogs are not allowed at all, and there are no trash bins on the site.

The Church of St. John the Baptist & the Evangelist is located on Pilies street and is a part of the Vilnius University Complex. It’s got a Bell Tower beside it which is one among the highest building structures in Old Town.

I visited here after staying in Siaulia overnight. If you don't have your own transport it's tricky to do this as a daytrip from either Riga or Vilnius. It's possible but it would be a very long day. There are regular buses from the main bus station that take about 40 minutes to small bus shelter, from there it's about 2km to the actual hill itself. I knew there would be a lot of crosses but really staggered by how many. I can't even imagine how many. It's a really striking, unique place and I'd highly recommend visiting if at all possible.Try visiting early in morning or in evening if possible as it was pretty busy when I visited.

The calm place and normal quantity of the people around the beach comparing with the beach of Palanga or Šventoji. Living in the center of Nida and going through the forest to the beach - very relaxing.

Point to it on maps, location set by TripAdvisor is the Mega mall for some reason :-/. Beautiful scenery from this path.

We had not been to Druskininkia for six years and this was a very nice surprise. It is centrally situated in front of the Europa Royale Hotels. The surrounding gardens are very well kept.

Photo worthy ship and by all means take a look for a few minutes when you encounter it. The restoration effort was enormous and there are some of the old pieces on display in front of the ship.
